Two Questions...
1) Is Kali the next major patch, after Castor:Shiva?
2) If so, what can we expect in it?
ex P-TMC
If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU.

An essay on KALI
Let us commence a journey into the much travelled topic of KALI. The constantly changing fashionable take on KALI demonstrates the depth of the subject. Though KALI is a favourite topic of discussion amongst monarchs, presidents and dictators, spasmodically it returns to create a new passion amongst those who study its history. Inevitably KALI is often misunderstood by those politicaly minded individuals living in the past, obviously. Here begins my indepth analysis of the glourious subject of KALI.
Social Factors
As Reflected in classical mythology society is complicated. When blues legend 'Bare Foot D' remarked 'awooooh eeee only my dawg understands me' [1] he shead new light on KALI, allowing man to take it by the hand and understand its momentum. Spanning divides such as class, race and uglyness, KALI is crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle.
Status, Security, Fame - KALI, all revolve around this 'golden fleece'. If society has a favourite child, it is KALI.
Economic Factors
Do we critique the markets, or do they in-fact critique us? Of course, KALI fits perfectly into the JTB-Guide-Dog model, which I hope will be familiar to most readers. Oil Prices KALI
It is apparent from the graph that the influence of KALI is strong. What is the secret to its strength? Obviously oil prices world wide are driven entirely by KALI. Strong fluctuations in investor confidence have been seen over the past two financial years.
Political Factors
No man is an island, but what of politics? Comparing KALI and much of what has been written of it can be like comparing night and day.
To quote a legend in their own life time, Aaron Rock 'Man's greatest enemy is complacency with regards to personal and political hygiene.' [2] What a fantastic quote. History tells us that KALI will always be a vote winner, whether we like it, or not.
The question which we must each ask ourselves is, will we allow KALI to win our vote? Conclusion
To conclude KALI has played a large part in the development of man in the 20th Century and its influence remains strong. It establishes order, it stimulates and is a joy to behold.
The final say goes to the award winning Demi Astaire: 'It's been nice educating you.' [3]

Kali is the next upgrade to EVE. Yes, it is following the Castor>Shiva cycle. The release name for Kali has not been determined and will be announced when Kali is ready for deployment.

There are too many things to do before an estimated Kali deployment date can be released. When we are finished with the Exodus deployment and have a handle on the status of Kali, an estimate will be given.

Will there be more guns? Please let there be more guns.
Oh, and more ships! Two Battleships per race is a bit poor.

If Shiva got renamed Exodus then I predict Kali given said political content will be renamed Demagogue.

I'm guessing you'll get both of these things later in Shiva. To be honest, I'm looking for hybrid ships - ships made with the cooperation of The Gallente and the Caldari, for example. Each race has their strong points and making a hybrid ship with aspects from each and slightly more overall power than each singly is an intruiging idea.

Just a quick list by me of things I believe are planned for Kali, and they are VERY big -
1) Proper player-built stations. 2) Planetary Flight (possible planet-surface structures?) 3) Super-Massive Industrials for station to station transport only. 4) Dreadnaughts (Next up from Battleship).
Loads more out there that have been mentioned by the devs, can't remember them though. --------

reply to nyphur: caldari and gallente and amarr and minmatar combinations are almost imposiblle... caldari and gallente were in war, remebmer? and minmatar were enslaved by amarr...
if there will be hybrid ships, i'd go for: -caldari+minmatar (they both use missiles and have taste for some turret weapon) -gallente+amarr (turret races)

I have to almost totally disagree. Caldari/Gallante, or Amarr/Minmattar hybrid ships are entirely possible. Sometimes it becomes crucial to a war effort to incorporate captured technology into your own.
Kill the enemy, and break their toys. |
