Hi!
I have encountered this boot proplem and tried to find answers / solutions to my issues. So I am running eve in winxp sp2. When I use only one client in window mode I can do almost everything with eve. But if I try to run 2 eve clients I get these random boots. Task manager doesn't tell me reason.
I tried another videocard without success. And this issue is only in eve :( Other games works fine
My rig is: AXP-M 2500+ @ 2.3GHz , A7N8X-E DLX, SB Audigy 2 and GF 6800 GT and 2 GB memory
Tried: without overclocking, newest drivers ...

Ive suddenly started having the same problems since last night, with 1 client it runs for quite some time, but if i run up 2 clients at least 1 crashes every 3-4 mins. I have been running 2 clients on this pc quite happiley for 2 months, until last night.

First stop overclocking!
Second turn of "sun if ocluded by objects" (think its spelled that way) in the esc menu.
That should fix your prolems

I have to disable the soundcard to get the game working without pc reb00ting! So now I can run 2 accounts but no sound...

xcutor: I have same problem after i reinstalled windows xp pro with sp2 and i think its the audigy 2 card and eve that have a problem.
This is my comp: P4 3.0 , Asus P4C800-E Deluxe, SB Audigy 2, 2gb RAM and FX5600 Ultra 256mb
And i have the newest drivers for all. So i will try to reinstall my audigy2 card after this but will not install the latest patch for the card (EAX4DRV_AUDIGY2_1_84_50.exe)
And see if it work better after that.
and i have both eve client on diffrent hdd. and i have the lowest graphic on both of them. no sun is occu... 16-bit... low on planet detail and so on...
