Regardless if you love them or hate them. Whether its tactical innovation, drunken fun, or sheer persistence, these Corps have obviously paid their dues and have in one way or another helped make Eve enjoyable for the many members that these great Corps have once and still do have in their ranks.
Whether you have flown with or against them I thought it would be a nice time to give recognition to those listed Top 25 Corps. (Nothing better going on in COAD.)

Because your obviously unaware...I'll be informative. Interstellar eXodus and Xenobytes along with other great corps were at one time in the same Alliance and have fought along side and against each other since. It was long ago but I still can remember those days.
So, if its sucking up to give props and respect to old SA/SE circa 2005 ish? then call it what you want.

3. the united --- Pirating is easy mode pvp
5. Beyond Divinity Inc --- Atleast there is 1 good player there, Extas!
8. Euphoria Released - Had their best time post Xetic, great corp.
10. coracao ardente --- <3 inzi
17. Destructive Influence --- One of the best corps around, <3 atuk for their smack
26. Atomic Battle Pengunis --- Best corp around in their size

Few of the corps here can be counted as top 25 anything. But this sure beats the "aLlIaNcE rEkOgGniT'n" thread, filled with the most worthless alliances ingame.

1. 0utbreak - Their good members are in Nibbletek, do they have space anymore?
2. Xenobytes - Low profile nowadays, haven't heard anything about them lately. They used to be a nightmare to fight, great coordination.
3. the united - They brought so many people to the fanfest, but Saint Schala lasted like 2 days with them... They must only camp or smth
4. D00M. - Drakefleet
5. Beyond Divinity Inc - Kings of Tama?
6. Rage and Terror - Sitting in their region mining their moons since 2000-something~. They're good though. Wonder if all this sitting around made them rusty.

Interested in where your getting the term 'best' from, considering no where in the topic is that term used. If anything "Top" just refers to the over many years of killing stuff what corps in itself manage to do so for the most part and still around. That shows the core of these listed corps must have great appeal or a great group of teamates that provided many good times.
As for low sec. ganks. well.. by looking at most of the corps listed I'd say majority are well known 0.0 corps or atleast spent most of there pvp time in 0.0.

Someone took a list from some web site and post it here and they took in neither the corp that changed EVE the most in the last year, or any of the corps with the most active players in them. You know the one that have the tickers like [P] and [SAK] and so..

3. the united-A joke, full of gate camping chumps afraid of their own shadows.
4. D00M.-The heart of the only alliance that I enjoyed being in. They got disbanded for petty and silly reasons.
5. Beyond Divinity Inc-Stood the test of time, what empire pirates should be.
6. Rage and Terror-More dictors bi**hes, boom boom boom. I luv Mullets :D
7. Einherjar Rising-Ganking super caps in low sec, not letting them get to us :(.
8. Euphoria Released-Have some good pilots.
9. The Collective-Ice land 4tw!!!!

@The OP I think Battleclinic only takes the number of kills into account. It doesn't try to rank whether they were actually worth anything. Thats why its heavily biased towards the Rancer smartbombers as well as corps that are older. Although "best" is pretty subjective I'd rather see a high value per average kill or high participation from the total roster.
For instance my corps average value per kill is 130mill. Vetos / the uniteds is 30ish mill while Privateers is a whopping 13,150,383,088,946 ISK per kill. This means veto etc set the bar pretty low for shooting stuff while Privateers apparently only kill top of the line officer fitted titans or freighters loaded with dyspro twenty times a day.
I'd also personally like to see some kind of activity indicator. A Generic NC blob x killing 5 billion ISK with 300 people isn't impressive. A small corp killing a billion ISK with a handful of players is somewhat more so.

Actually, thats not how battleclinic works at all. It is based on the Griefwatch point system (since May 2009), each ship is worth a certain value, and depending on how many ships used to kill it, and the type of ships, you get a percentage of that value.

For Example, Mostly Harmless Killing a Stealth Bomber with 18BS is worth 0.29 points.
Me killing a Cult of War Zealot with a Thrasher is worth 80 points.
In general, the system mostly favours small gang and solo PvPers as you earn the most points that way. No Idea why The United. Are so high up though, must be the volume of kills they got while smartbombing rancer, rather than the quality.

TBH this list is mostly a whose who of eve history.
1. 0utbreak - I would sell my soul to be an Outbreak member in 2006. There might be/have been better pvp corps (I doubt it) but Outbreak had style.
2. Xenobytes - Old school - scary

Not actually true. We left D2 shortly after Black Lance, and some of the HC was pretty mad about it, but no kicking was involved. We largely kept the old D2 standings for a long time. But honestly D2 was pretty heavy industrial while we were pure gang PvP so it wasn't a particularly good fit.

Serious post - as someone else said, Jericho Fraction should be there.

Final Stand - Very confident in what they do making them formidable
UK1 - very nice players who have merged with us. confident skilled and versatile.
Havoc - Some of our finest left to form this corp, and they are doing very very well.
Clown Punchers - Made me lol with their smak and impressed with their willingness to fight.
Goon Swarm - for giving new players a chance to do big things in big numbers
Eve University - for teaching this complex game to new comers. much respect.
I also salute all who play for the good fights who ever you are, this is why i log on and play. ♥
BTW i dislike alliances who blob the fun out of any chance of good fights... think before u say " x-up for gang we have 10 reds we need at least 80 support plus cap ships on standby."!!! ur ruining the game.

I apologize, that was pretty badly verbalized and mistyped... I was looking for your goodbye post in the old d2 forums but couldnt find it. I thought it went like "FFS stop being absent from our terrible fleets and join them or leave immediately." But probably it didn't. You chose to leave, which was a very good decision. I remember I was very sad to see you go.

id have to say this list is an injustice to some corp m corp. Is an older corp or one of the oldest corps cant remember but it should be on the list. Goons should be put on as one of the worst corp and alliances, and baned for being idiots. There my shout out to both mcorp and goons

I'm sorry but the united are a "top corp" killing pods, shuttles n noob ships in rancer all day and running when a serious gang comes along doesn't count.
I would say outbreak were one of the best corps going around until the everybody knew who they were and ran away from them when one entered local I know the feeling happens to us. In there day when hot dropping moms with evoke was quite sum sight but the outbreak now isn't the same as it used to be even tho still decent enought to give u a good fight.
Veto probably one of the few pirate corps i have respect for as they haven't given up on wat they do over the years even after all the changes in game and have a some good 1v1 pilots who honour them.

Well to play devils advocate for a second here and don't get me wrong I hate getting blobbed just as much as the next person, but numbers in Eve do count for something and arguing about them is generally counter productive.
Especially when in many cases people have been playing this game for a lot longer then others and there is a huge skillpoint / equipment gap. I started playing eve in 2007 I joined a corp (the sameone I'm in now, in fact) and we as a corp of about 20-30 moved out to 0.0 (Wicked Creek / Curse, we lived out of a pos in a crappy area of wicked creek for almost 6 months, I could barely kill the harder blet rats at the time I first moved out there and was some of the best fun I've had in eve). I'd been playing eve for about 2 months prior to the move.
This was during the height of the nano age, if people weren't around back then it bordered on ridiculous, polycarbs and overdrive injector were basically mandatory on every ship. Alliances like Triumvirate, Cult of War, AAA (These were the ones I remember there were plenty of others) used to absolutely tear our corp apart, because when you had about 3 million SP there was not a lot you could do 1 v 1 against HACS (still true today for the most part imo). It got pretty tedious getting repeatedly ripped to shreds by these hacs every time you tried to fight and I found myself on the verge of giving up eve (glad I didn't). I found a way to fight back and that was to team up with my corp mates and fight as a group (blob). If we as a fleet of 5 or 10 could kill even 1 HAC we usually considered it a victory , especially since one of those ships was worth about 6 or 7 of ours (Prime example: http://www.fleetofthedamned.net/kills/?a=kill_related&kll_id=488 lost our whole fleet 71% efficiency). Our response was pretty much like your post 3 or 4 reds in system, well lets get a fleet of 20 together to fight them off.
Sure people called us dishonorable blobbers etc but tbh where's the honor in running around ganking people with less sp then you and a ship worth 1/10th the cost.
Nowadays I have 40 million sp and run around *trying to* kill people in a HAC, some days I get blobbed some days I kill some poor guy in a stabber trying to fight me. I've been part of bigger alliances (IAC, BYRN etc) and smaller ones. Killed people in small gangs and in 400 man fleets. Unless something in eve drastically changes blobs are always going to play a part in the game. I think there is some poetic justice in the group of kids banding together to give the big bad bully a bloody nose if you will.
So I don't really think blobs are the issue, I find the problem to be the big power blocks that exist (Yes I've been part of them, still am to a certain extent), when you have 4 or 5 big alliances that are all blue with each other then that is when it becomes an issue as it basically leaves no option but blobbing.
With the changes coming up in Dominion I'll be curious to see just how viable it does become for smaller entities to hold 0.0 without the need for numerous naps. I'm not attacking you specifically but rather the whole blobs are ruining the game argument.

its all about what you want your day to be about, having a nice shiny hac/t3 cruiser is all good but if u cant fly it then your not going to do very well in it, the more speed the more skill/reaction is needed. Yes there is differences in skills but I think most good pilots will fly T1 just as good as T2 only with a little less dps/tank.
If your ambition is to wave a stick and say this is my turf, then wave the biggest stick you can, do not however think this is anyway going to teach you the skills that you would learn in a smaller group. The amount of good combat oppitunites that are wasited from Command saying "stay docked", untill there is enough playes to make the fight a non event....
Most of the corpse mentioned in this list grew up with competent skills only gained through hard fights, not just how many skills you have.
When u decide to walk away from this universes the only thing of reel value (bar trying to think isk/money will be worth more in time then doing something in RL for money) will be your memories and your fraps. (belive me RL has me by the furry danglers atm so I had to step away)
Pushing your gangs ability for numbers ships v any attacking force will give u, better skills, more knowledge, and quite possible the most amazing fights ull ever have in any game you play. ..... doing something in a big blob might feel ok for aprovel monky junkies.. but really compared to memories of a fight where ur shaking inside and out from adrenalin :))))), ... no contest
Once you have visted this place of combat most people dont ever look back.
As for Suzans Statement earlier (xxx nice dress). I think its the waisted oppitunity of a great moment for all involved, rather then loosing a fight that nibbles at her oversized bra.

You have not included 2 main PL corps, North Eastern Swat are a quality outfit and BOS are still going strong. PL have some of the best FC's around at the mo and some great corps.
Is this supposes to be a nostalgia list or just current corps? ie where are m0o, m3g4, zombie?
For corps still around surely Evolution should be on there? One of the oldest EVE corps and although way smaller than back in the day still making headlines ;)
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.
