"Sing, O Muse, of the rage of Achilles, of PeleusÆ son, murderous, man-killer, fated to die; sing of the rage that cost the Achaeans so many good men and sent so many vital, hearty souls down to the dreary House of Death. And while youÆre at it, Muse, sing of the rage of the gods themselves, so petulant and so powerful here on their new Olympos; and of the rage of the post-humans, dead and gone though they might be; and of the rage of those few true humans left, self-absorbed and useless though they have become."

Our US/EU timezone has grown over the last few months. We now have a decent presence in every timezone. We would like more US/EU timezone pilots however.
In empire, we have no skillpoint or experience requirements; we do require that you have a good attitude and are willing to help out your fellow corpmates, however. Pilots in empire can partake of every facet of EVE, including mining, missioning, pvp, exploration and wormholing. PVP oriented pilots from empire can apply internally to join our 0.0 division when they feel they want to take that step.
In 0.0, we are pvp focused. Our pilots in 0.0 live to shoot hostiles. You must have the itch to kill and the means to do so.
Join our recruitment channel and ask us some questions, but beware of the dropbears!

Our empire division has activities to suit all play-styles. The empire arm of ANZAC ALLIANCE is led by a capable and dedicated group of players who know pretty much everything there is to know about living in High and Low Security space.
Are you an industrial character? Our empire division has regular member-profit mining ops, produces ships and items, and has research facilities available.
Are you a missioner? Our empire division is based out of a system with Level 4 agents from multiple factions, with more Level 4 agents within 2 jumps.
Are you a pvper? Our empire division lives next to a low security pocket of space that often sees bands of marauding pirates and peaceful (if naive) travellers, all of which are available to shoot.
Are you an explorer? Our empire division has many members who scan down plexes and exploration sites for a living. Groups of our pilots sometimes live in wormhole space for months on end, some earning billions of ISK in the process.
Be warned: our corporation is often at war with folks such as Pandemic Legion, Sons Of Tangra, and Goonswarm - which means that you have to depend on your corpmates for intel and gang support.
If any of the above sounded interesting, drop into our recruitment channel and have a chat. |

Our 0.0 division is dedicated to pvp.
We have some of the best roaming gang fleet commanders in the game. Our favoured play style involves gangs of small, fast ships which pack a heavy punch, led by FC's who have superb tactical sense. We do get involved in large fleet fights, and don't shy away from capital ship engagements either; however our heart and soul is dogfighting.
If you're an experienced PVPer who loves flying HACs, Recons, Logistics cruisers and interceptors, and want to be part of a corp who knows how to use them, give some thought to dropping into our recruitment channel.
With Dominion on the horizon, where else would you rather be? |

From the posts above, you should know who we are and what we do. So from now on, I'm just going to bump the thread without a spiel. If you do want to learn more, if some questions you have were not answered, or if you want to insult me due to my bad grammar and spelling, drop by the ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel. |

Our corp has a strong community ethic. We like players to be active on our forums, chat channels, and voice comms. If you want to truly be part of the corp, not just have the ticker next to your name in space, then we want you.

We talk a lot about PVP in our recruitment threads, and rightly so: we're a corp with a strong PVP heritage. But what about folks who are interested in joining us, but don't enjoy PVP?
In our Empire Division: 1) You are not required to participate in pvp ever, if you don't want to. 2) We have a strong industrial base (mining and production) and we're always looking to expand. 3) We have many mission runners - if you enjoy missioning, you can mission solo, or join or create a fleet to do missions with if you are more sociable in your PVEing.
Just in case it may ever be of interest to you, in our Empire Division we have pvp classes, training roams and other shenanigans which are designed to give interested players a series of "stepping stones" into the world of PVP, should they want to try it.
BUT, I should point out: we are often at war. If you are unsure about what that means and how it might affect you, please speak to us in our ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel. |

Dominion is here.
I haven't had a chance to log in and see what all the fuss is about, as yet, but I'm fairly sure it's going to be epic. From what I can tell, the new mechanics seem to encourage roaming gangs to perform hit and run tactics on key sov-holding infrastructure. I wonder what sort of ships would be best at that... HACs and Recons, perhaps?
Maybe you'd better join ANZAC ALLIANCE ;-) |

A common concern of newer pilots is that they are unable to contribute to the corporation. In ANZA, every member can play a part. The size of the corporation means that there are many roles that need fulfilling, from managing the inventory of certain compartments in the corp hangar, to manufacturing ammunition and modules, and organising mining or missioning gangs.
A new member who can salvage and loot wrecks will always be a welcome addition to missioning gangs (and earn themselves a good amount of ISK in the process), and a new member who can fly a lowly bestower or badger will always be welcome on mining ops.
Finally, new members are a welcome addition to our pvp gangs in Empire - a cheap frigate fitted with a microwarpdrive and a warp disruptor can be the most valuable ship in the fleet when our enemies are attempting to escape from combat.
So if you're a new member, keen to join a large, active, community-oriented corporation, give some thought to joining our ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel in-game. |

I've mentioned this a few times, but it's worth saying again: ANZA is all about attitude. We want pilots who want to get involved, who want to help their mates, who want to X up and join the action (be it mining ops, missioning gangs, or pewpewpew!).
We want pilots who are always on voice comms, even if they're just chilling in station setting up some market orders. We want pilots who actively read the forums and participate in discussions. We want pilots who are willing to put their hand up to be the suicidal forward-scout, and pilots who are willing to step up and try FCing by taking out a group of tech-one cruisers deep into hostile nullspace.
We're a big corp - and we're an active corp. If you prefer to mission alone, or mine alone, or pvp solo most of the time, then ANZA probably is not the corp for you. On the other hand, if you're as keen as mustard to chip in your time and effort to be part of something that is trying to shape the very face of the EVE galaxy, then drop by the ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel for a chat! |

ANZAC ALLIANCE does have rules. If you don't like being told what you can and cannot do in EVE, then ANZAC ALLIANCE probably won't be your cup of tea.
So, what exactly do I mean by rules? Well, a more complete list of our rules is contained in our Terms and Conditions which is linked in our ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel, but some examples are: No smacktalk; No piracy (which we define as ransoming or suicide ganking in highsec); No theft / scamming, etc.
The rules that are in place exist for what we believe are good reasons. If you're curious about the rules, or why a particular rule exists, feel free to chat to us in the ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel.

The fighting is fierce at the moment. ANZA is on the front lines, as usual; lasers slashing through the void, kinetic harpoons on trajectory toward our enemies, filling space with the debris of the vanquished. The screams of the fallen echo around the galaxy, and are heard by even the most sheltered of pilots living in the spiral core.
It's rarely easy, and the prospect of either outright victory or utter defeat looms large in every engagement. But one thing is for sure: it's a heck of a lot of fun. |

Great Zonks!!!
It's the silly season again, and this year real life has reared its ugly, bestial head and intervened most cruelly into my EVE life by (of all of the torturous and dastardly things possible!) scheduling me for a week in paradise. I'm not entirely certain how I will cope (but, dear reader, will attempt - even if just for the sake of your sanity - to persevere) but even less certain am I as to how _you_ will cope; that is, without my presence in the ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel.
Although to be honest, I think you'll manage, given that I'm rarely in there anyway, these days.
BUT let none of my rhetoric sway you from your original purpose: to spend what few precious moments you have left of this existence to play internet spaceships with a fun group of folks. And I truly do mean it when I say: ANZAC ALLIANCE is the friendliest, funniest, most gregarious, most fun-loving, and craziest bunch of girls and guys this side of the Hercules Cluster.
So drop by the ANZAC RECRUITMENT channel and speak to one of the other recruiters about joining up today! They're all great blokes, and none of them bite (well, except Lokrit, but you know, aside from him ;-) |

Light from the red supergiant star seeped across the void like blood from a wounded soldier, refracting off the dust, smoke and debris that littered the field of the engagement. The comm channels were a constant hysterical babble, as captains and crews of devastated ships requested medical aid and evac from their still-burning coffins. No help would come.
In the near distance, a squad of interceptors from the victorious fleet pirouetted and darted amongst the carnage, looking for escape pods. Further away, just visible in the red glare reflected from a nearby moon, the shattered remnants of a once-formidable deathstar station were being towed away by industrial ships with tractor beams. It would be replaced by one of the invader's own, and then a sovereignty claim beacon would be installed.
The battle for C-N4OD was over.

Ashes drifted out of the sky, a black snow that smothered the earth. The horizon to the south glowed a hellish orange, testament to the fires that still raged across the continent. Not a single starsc****r stood in any of what used to be cities on the planet; cities which were now but charred ruins and radioactive craters.
The pod pilot was sitting down on the mountainside, her knees drawn up to her chin. A tear traced its way slowly through the dust and ash caking her cheek, as she contemplated the glimmering wreckage that until so recently was her world. She felt betrayed: by the leaders of her people, who had failed in their governance; by her comrades-in-arms, who had failed in the face of adversity; by the whims and vagaries of the gods themselves, who had deemed this fate apropos.
It might have been a low sociotechnologic planet orbiting an unremarkable binary in a dead-end constellation of a region of space so far from the spiral core that it hadn't seen a CONCORD patrol in more than four generations - but it was her home. It had been her home; but no longer. Even now, those few of her people who had survived were loading their remaining belongings into cargo shuttles at the one remaining spaceport on the planet, which would in turn feed the Iteron-class starships which hung in geostationary orbit above. Soon the impulse drives of those ancient transport ships would gleam has they twisted spacetime to begin their journey to the heart of the spiral core. |

The pilot of the assault cruiser increased the power to the impulse drives of his Zealot. Despite the activity around him, for some reason it felt like he was almost entirely alone; just him and floating corpses. Their faces were insane caricatures of normalcy, with ruptured eyeballs and blackened extremities, swollen tongues and charred hair.
The invaders had been repelled, again; they had failed to take their objective once more, their fleets beaten into twisted metal wreckage and tritanium splinters. A glorious victory, again; or so he had been told. The pilot wasn't so sure. Each battle cost his people a price in blood that he did not believe could be sustained.
He wondered what tomorrow might bring. |

Nightmares; all that remained were nightmares and darkness.
The central navigation display beeped a proximity warning as the giant ship spun away from the docking ledge. The pilot ignored the sound; compared to the magnitude of the events which had occurred the day before, the possibility of a hull breach in deep space barely registered. He sent destination coordinates to the navigation computer in a daze, his face set in calm mask belied only by the horror which not even a battle-hardened pod pilot could keep from showing in his eyes. The impulse drives of his Chimera class carrier rumbled into life, sweeping the ship into the deeper black.
The commlink surged with data, and neural interfaces shunted the information directly into the pilot's brain. An image of a lit cynosural field appeared in his mind's eye. Safety was only a short jump away; the cost was merely to leave his home to its fate. His imagination painted a picture of neutron bombs scouring the space stations, of antimatter missiles detonating on planet surfaces, of cities devastated by kinetic harpoons; a picture which, he was sure, was sparing with the gruesome reality of what lay in store.
His people had been proud of what they had achieved, and rightly so; to have lost it all in one moment of inattention seemed far too bitter a pill to swallow. He activated his jump drive, and translated through space to the distant haven.
One day we will return and fight, he vowed. We will fight. If we can... |

That which had seemed an unimaginable horror now suddenly seemed altogether quite bearable; because now something truly horrible had occurred. The squadron listened in silence to their wing leader, as he explained with a shaking voice the depths of despair which they now being forced to explore. Unshed tears glistened in the eyes of pilots that looked out into the void, and rage filled their hearts as the void looked back into them.
How petty was the cause! How vile the ailment! And how fatal the cure.
The diaspora began; a thousand pilots from a thousand home systems were suddenly shown what it meant to be without place in the galaxy; shown that they could not trust their own; shown that their arrogance had complacency had dealt them a mortal blow, just as it had to their enemies time and time again.
The squadron stayed together while others drifted apart. They vowed that they would begin again, building ties as strong as steel which - this time - would not be broken, no matter the weight of shame or failure which might strain it. They had lost everything, but vowed to find themselves again.
Someday, somehow... |
