I'm testing a Nyx on the test server.
I noticed that I did not deploy as many drones as last time before the Dominion patch.
Checked the Nyx description & see that it now has the same drone bonus as the Thanatos.
So, we beef up the hit points but nerf the number of drones able to be deployed which is somewhat compensated by the use of bombers.
Is this part of aligning the Nyx into its true role as a logistics ship & not a general damage dealer?
I am a little disappointed with this as I liked the thought of the Nyx as an uber drone spewing platform but now it just feels like a bigger Thanatos at 15 times the cost but I also wondered with this realignment whether this is a precursor to allowing the ship to dock. Certainly it does dock-as it starts off in station on the test server
Really nice tank but I'm still having to think about its true role when you could get nearly the same benefit from other carriers at a fraction of the cost. Realistically all a mothership is now is a glorified carrier to epeen in & show everybody how much ISK you have
Dominion has changed my perception as to whether I want a super cap. Not going to moan about this has there has to be a balance-you can't have more free EHP & the same damage but I do like my drones.

Nope, no dev response. There¦s been a comment from a GM on Sisi that it¦a bug, but bandwidth and description has been changed. It¦s also without a proper damage bonus.
There¦s probably an explanation and a lot of crying on the way. 
CCP being bittersweet again...
