Alright, so I know with Dominion, they're adding the ability to see who looted what from a wreck (very good idea, imo.)
So, I was recently thinking.
With the new ability to save ship fits, along with the new fitting window, wouldn't being able to see your fleet members fits be not only interesting but a great added factor in fleet strength and tactics? Think about it. You could be in my fleet, and be like "LOOK AT JADE'S FIT! LOLOLOLOLOLOL" and then kick me out. Also, what if you want everyone to fit RR for spider tanking, and someone didn't get the memo? Instead of being a super cereal tool and shouting saying "IF YOu FIT A PPPPROPER SHIP...!," you'd be able to look at the fit, and tell the person to get on the ball and fit it.
It may seem rather simple and inconsequential, but these small additions will add more to not only preparation of fleets, but overall fleet strength. That, and it will be easier to give people advice, unless you're to serious.

Although Jade is a complete idiot, this is a great idea. Would really help experienced players help noobs out so they can actually be helpful.

i've been told this jade guy is a dummy, but this is a brilliant idea. i had negative opinions about people of his skin tone, but this is a very constructive proposal.

It would save us time in the caldari militia with our ship scanner **** kicking the carebears out of fleet that fail at fitting altoghether. some fleets have a required fitting type, and this idea would make it a lot better.

Unnecessary addition with very little done that is not already possible.
If someone requires help fitting a ship you just drag the ship-name from fitting screen into a chat and anyone can click it, comment on it and save it if they so choose.
So as you can see, the ability to view everyone's fit in a fleet adds very little.

I'm gona say no.
Really don't like the idea of giving that information away, in large alliances where spies are unavoidable this would just be used as an intel tool to find out the weaknesses of important ships. It also discourages anyone trying to be creative and create a new setup as FC's can now enforce the rule of 'only fly this setup'.
The loot tool is getting information that was already available through kill mails, this information is only available after the ship has been destroyed not all the time. Also your making it available to everyone. ------------------------------

Maybe just show the item type but not the actual name of the items?
Like this:
[Drake, PvP] Internal Force Field Array I 3x Ballistic Control System II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I 2x Invulnerability Field II Large Shield Extender II
7x Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Small Energy Neutralizer II
3x Core Defence Field Extender I
would show up as:
[Drake] Damage Control(s) Ballistic Control System(s)
Microwarpdrive Webifier(s) Warp Scrambler(s) Shield hardener(s)
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher(s) Energy Neutralizer(s)

The loot tool is getting information that was already available through kill mails, this information is only available after the ship has been destroyed not all the time. Also your making it available to everyone.
First off, the loot mechanic isn't already available. You know what the person drops but you don't know who picked it up. That's the new setting.
Also, when you create a fleet, you can toggle the option on and off. So just like the new mechanic will be, why couldn't this be toggled on or off? So no worrying about spies, at least not any more than you should now.
And finally, the idea is not to intentionally kick people out when they have a bad fit. Its a tool to suggest ideas and help others. If you have an FC that won't give you the second of time to help you, he's going to rage one way or another. And, last but not least, if the FC would get that raged, don't you think they'll rage when they see your loss mail anyways? If they're at the point of getting that raged, everyone knows that they will require loss mails posted.
You have the right to your own opinion, but I just think what your statement was rushed without thinking about the possible feature.

As a fleet commander i would like to see a way to easily see who is fitted to do what job. If there was a way for the server to check what a players fitting is and then prompt the player with what 'class' they deem there ship to be from a shortlist of what the server thinks it would make grouping people of similar fits as well as good way to get a metric of how many of each 'role' a fleet has. ie 15 DPS, 5 ECM, 4 RR, 1 Tackler. I would easily see that the fleet needs more tacklers so when you get that response from a new fleet member. "What do you want me in?" you can quickly and easily say Tackler and know that the comment is an educated one. This should be limited to fleet, wing and squad commanders however as most big alliance fleets have 1 or 2 spies. Eve-au.com News Reporter |

I like the idea of just a right click, show fitting for fleet members, I know would be very useful instead of always asking to link fitting plz.
