well to correct you the first movie was released on June 18, 2007 , addendum the second movie was released on October 4, 2008, and this is no reason to wave it away, and it is no conspiriscy theory!! those who have not seen it should watch it

IF you are truly Scottish i may have to frown upon you harder than i already am. For one you spelled BOTH of your URL's wrong. For two, you DIDN'T link them (Nor place them in a fashion that linkification would pick up on) and you have basically put forward no arguement as to why we should watch it other than "YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT TO KNOW"

the uk website has been up since august this year, so i'm only just getting into it,
i know there are some bent truths in the religon part of the first movie, but thats not the importent part. i think the banking system part and also how profit is a big problem for all of us, and will be even worse for our children is the main thing to focus on!

These movies have my seal of approval.
The first one is here for the technically challenged people out there.
It's got a bit of an offputting intro, but once it gets moving its just a constant stream of information. 3 chapters; religion, 9/11, and the economy. Should be 'taken with a grain of salt', the movie is not objective, it's just designed to make you think. The more level headed among you might want to skip this movie and go straight to the second movie.
The second movie is basically focused on the economy, banking system, and the venus project (prototype technocratic style system).
For those of you with no patience for the emotional element evident in the movies, here is a lecture by Peter Joseph (creator of the movies).
Jacque Fresco (creator of The Venus Project) is also worth looking into, he has always been far ahead of his time, and he is still going pretty strong at 93.
BTW, this isn't for conspiracy theorists nuts, they actually think this is all part of a NWO plot (a quick google search, or listening to Alex Jones will verify that).
It is a movement for the logical minded.

This whole zeitgeist stuff is actually created and spread by those that want to maintain a money dependent society for their own benefits.
Reason is to corrupt good ideas with pseudo religious themes and conspiracy theories so that people will not support the good ideas when confronted with them as they instantly connect them with the bat guano from zeitgeist.
We all know, nothing is more damaging to a good idea than an idiot supporting it.

I only leave out the first movie because of the 9/11 section. I'ts just too muddy.

Mass Media? me? :) I dont turn on my TV unless its to watch a movie. I refuse to read newspapers, so any news I recieve is either seen on passing or from word of mouth, and I have long learnt to take everything I hear with a pinch of salt regardless of its source.
The second movie has its points regarding the banking structure but its solution to these problems is laughable at best. The reason you leave out the first movie is that its exactly what most of my jovially truncatated points covered.
Don't for a second believe because you have watched 'the Zietgiests' you are immune to the media. Those productions are just as cynically crafted as anything you will find on the news networks................except FOX ;p

however, if you can come up with a better solution than removing money and politics from the current socio-economic system, i would love to hear it. By your standards, i'll be surprised if it lives up to "laughable at best".
you've obviously watched both movies, so what information specifically did you find to be inaccurate? (ignoring the 9/11 sections, i've done a fair bit of research, and the contrasting sources rival that of global warming).
For those people out there who see this as conspiritorial nonsence, it's not, it is the 'application of the scientific method' to the management of society and the environment which we live in.

Heres the thing. I offer 'no' solution and to be frank neither do they. They envisage a grand scheme a wonderous paradise for man and make no attempts at explaining how we get there.

i think the "fantastical" future that your on about and is in the video is good a concept idea and like all concept ideas, cars, clothes etc they only end up similer in certin ways.
i myself think that sociaity does have to drasticly change and this is the best idea yet in my opinion, yes your right its not perfect and can be laughed at by people that cannot fathom the idea of a change this big. but be honest, take a look around you we cannot carry on like this much longer, everything around us is made to make someone else profit directly or indirectly and this in turn causes huge amounts of waste...from parts made of poor quality so as you will need to aquire more of them over time etc, and the banking system is in self destruct and it will always be like this if we let it, as the people who make decisions are making money from it.

Ealion you ask a lot of questions regarding this issue, the point of the OP is to get people to join the movement, the point of movements like this are to get feedback off other people as to the best way to change the world for the good, maybe you have your own ideas? Either way, sitting on your rear end and criticizing it is not going to get you or anyone else anywhere, the world needs to change, are you going to help to change it? No! then say nothing, carry on with your life and hide from the fact that your children and grandchildren are going to face the true horror of our present and past mistakes, if your answer is Yes! and you do want to help! then be constructive and add your own ideas. Same goes to anyone else to be honest.

Hello Emil, an interesting video I must admit (shame about the BMW advert at the beginning), however after watching it i'm not sure how it shows how the world is getting better per-se? From what I can tell it is basically showing how the world is reaching its peak, the statistics are merely showing how previously underdeveloped country's have been managing to jump onto the resource usage band wagon, some time after the west due to technology/monetary constraints.
What this video does not address is the fact that we are hammering through out natural resources at an eye watering rate, it also does not address the fact that as these resources become more scarce the probability of nuclear armed nations becoming aggressive increases also, we are already seeing smaller scale conflicts over resource already.
It also highlights the most threatening thing to our survival.... a comparison between country's, the fact the world is not united under one banner and not sharing it's resources fairly and intelligently creates potential for disaster, we need to start identifying each other as humans and not seperate entities purely because we live in different parts of the world, even young children when questioned name their own nation as the greatest in the world, that is a mentality that we ill need.
Lastly the fact (or not fact) that the world is heading for disaster is only one of the many negatives with the current system, many of the problems of which are identified by Jaque Fresco and his lifetime of work (which is mentioned a lot in the second Zeitgeist movie).
