How are cookies managed? Per computer/per account/per character? I can't quite put my finger on it but have a feeling there is some way of unwillingly sending out too much information if anything but the latter. |

Nice... Very very nice, I will enjoy making websites for this. And I have already tried it out... I believe that for now you have features enough give or take two/three...
Now... Performance performance and more performance! PLEASE... I understand it will probably never be like a normal browser but it should be able to get close at least...
Stretching the window on SiSi stretches the page btw, it would look better if the page kept it's dimensions while the window is stretched and then simply 'jumps' to fill the full window when it's re-rendered...

Never, under any circumstances, enable Flash. I beg of you.
FLV support is quite another thing; while I don't /like/ it, if you want to support it, fine. Same with the Firefox approach of rendering some of the Ogg codecs in-browser. But supporting Flash is a quick way to ensure I'll never, under any circumstances, open the in-game browser. Look at how many Flash security patches came out this year alone!

So I bet you never do anything on the web then, like going to youtube, since obviously you only run into the problems if flash is enabled... Seriously don't be mad it's not THAT bad.

I hope it will be possible to make use of it ingame. Corporate portals, coice tool registration, mining overviews, production management and so on.
On the other hand, I am really happy that it doesn't fully support all script capabilities and no flash.
By default everything is forbidden, cookies, DOM, LSO, any scripting, any crosslinking and so on.
If I am really sure about wanting to view that site, I will enable the necessary ones only.
Since I will not play over TOR, I will probably only use the IGB for the necessary functions in my corp.

That's the exact reason they've stated why they aren't going to allow Flash initially. Not only is it a big hole security-wise in any browser (Flash Hole ) but it could also potentially give new ways for someone to crack an account. How? CCP isn't saying, and it's possible they don't know of any methods. But for them, why take the risk? Unless you want to be petitioning them "I had 3b in assets and now I'm stuck in PCR- with only my Ibis and a single bit of trit."
Will it happen? probably not. But they don't want to take that chance yet. And neither do I. We've lived without flash for god knows how long already. I think I can wait a little while more.
