I don't get it. Dominion was going great, everyone was stoked for the release, the changes were balanced and made ships interesting and fun. Everything was set! Why are you screwing with things now? Everyone was happy, your playerbase was praising the changes, that NEVER happens! Half the forum is always whining about the changes, they weren't! Everyone was actually happy for once and eve seemed to be going in a good direction. Now, less then three weeks from the release of Dominion, you go and decide go after all of your changes with a rusty condom, you've taken all of those great changes that made the game better for everyone and turned them over, so now, the ships are weaker then before, plus you toss in the price reduction on Supercarriers, devaluing the ones already there and making everyone who had one magically loose 8 bil. Honestly, its like you finished Dominion and all decided to go get high and mess with the code. Seriously CCP, what is going on over there? __________________________________________________ All Glory to the Goat Gods! |

I realise that the supercarrier changes are less than popular but its news to me that rest of the stuff in Dominion was changed too. Links to those changes plx?

Edited by: Destination SkillQueue on 13/11/2009 18:02:03 Strange things happen to peoples minds when they are forced to live under polar night.
Originally by: wikipedia Effects on humans
The period of polar night can trigger depression in some people. People who suffer from seasonal affective disorder are particularly susceptible to these conditions. The polar night may also be implicated in some instances of solipsism syndrome.
Solipsism syndrome is a pathological psychiatric condition involving a dissociative mental state. This psychiatric condition is characterized by a detachment from reality û a state of mind in which a person begins to feel that all reality is internal and the remainder of the perceived universe is unreal or only exists in a dream state.

The sov upgrade system has been revealed to completely fail to live up the stated goals (no alliance compression, no incentive to move out into 0.0, more incentive to move from nullsec to highsec, no left-over space for people who still do want to move out).
The sov war mechanic has drawn some, relatively mild criticism for replacing the POS grind with an outpost/hub/tcu grind, but that's mainly because people expected even less sieging — the actual mechanism as such seems solid enough. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

They may only be 0.01% of the player base, but they are more than 0.01% of the subscriber base and supercapitals affect MUCH MUCH more than just 0.01% of the playerbase. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

In all honesty I do believe it has to be part of some bigger picture CCP has involving capitals in general. That is the only real reason, other then temporary insanity, that they could use to justify such a change this late in the process. That raises the question though, that why wasn't such plan presented to the players earlier to minimze any damage done. Meh, this speculating is just a waste of time until the devblog gets released.

It's not the 0.01% quitting that you have to worry about here. It is the 0.01% that fly supercarriers (that includes myself) that will domiate fleet warfare with phat insurable tanks and put us in back in the same boat we had with doomsday that worry me.

They're developers. Of course they're high. Not that they need it; developers are just weird. They probably finished early and got bored. . . Nothing is more dangerous than a bored nerd with spare time and nothing to fill it with.

I see this sort of mass hysteria every time CCP releases a new patch or changes major game mechanics.
I also notice that the whiners about new expansions are always inevitably wrong and that EVE will slog around just fine. After the expansion hits there will surely be some unbalanced aspects but 1.1 will fix the game again.
I find the supercarrier whines extremely interesting because the general consensus between people on sisi and objective TQ mothership owners were that MS were extremely overpowered with these new changes. This is why everyone and their mother was saving for a new mothership and are now butthurt because they speculated on sisi changes and it's not working out for them. If you get burned by speculating on sisi changes you only have yourself to blame, go cry somewhere else.

There are a "special" collection of tards with some influence at CCP who sometimes get their way instead of appropriately being told to STFU (the cousin of HTFU)

I was told current sisi changes are not permanent and the Motherships will be getting a 100% fighter/bomber damage bonus, bringing them back to the damage of 20 drones.

Pretty obvious, tbh. Iron...exposed to moisture...well lets just say it would be a pretty common problem.
Guess there is a question of how you convince people to let you use it enough for it to rust though. Pretty sure it'd become a health hazard pretty quickly, both everyone involved. Can't see it being comfortable either, for either person.
Probably should have used copper. Has the antimicrobial properties built right in and no tetanus shots required.

All I can say to the OP is : oh shut up, A: The reason eve has done so well over the years is it, DOES NOT listen to its player base, people are stupid, people want stupid things, the secret to a good mmo is listen to the people, then ignore there idiotic ideas and stick to your vision.
Second, as for the super carrier thing, oh noes! what about all those poor people that paid 100mill plus on tier 2 BC's when they came out or billions on T3 ships, do they get isk back now that the prices are down?
Quit *****in pay your monthly subscription and shut up.
