Couple questions:
1. Do you get more of a security status increase if you kill a faction spawn? Eg True sansha
2. Is it possible to fly a cruiser through high sec with a very low sec status?

1. Don't know, don't care.
2. Yes, concord webs before they scram, so you'll pretty much instawarp. Make sure to hold your cloak for a few seconds if it's a very short warp (session change timer), warp to zero on outbound gate and jump when you land.

Concord doesn't web before scram, they insta scram/web/neut/jam, however, they ignore you unless you actually get a Global Criminal Countdown.
Faction police on the other hand, who are the ones that come after you if you have a low sec status, do indeed web before scramming

Hmm ok thanks guys. I have a feeling I wouldn't make it through high sec in a cruiser. I just lost an ibis that I was aligning to a station to warp. Also lost a cruiser + pod to a near inst lock bs which I think is bs. This was in low sec. This guy must have 1000+ sensor strength with a remote sb carrier sitting next to him. I knew what he was doing, thought I would risk it and still got wtfpwnd by this insanity. / Off topic rant. Lost 16mill bounty + implants gives one the ****s. Thought I would post about it.

The chances are he hit you with smartbombs, unless you just sat there and let him lock your pod?
dont align, just hit warp (aligning takes you longer, the idea is you get webbed and insta warp if your not trying to warp, you get webbed and slow down  ) fit istab's to your ship and you will make it with np's, the only risk there is, is if a fast lock intercepter is within point range of you... he might cause you problems, a cruiser should/will make it through all high sec no matter of sec status unless you have global

Na no smartbombs. He was about 60km away in a baddon. He would have 3-4 sensor boosters and a couple of remote sb's. 1 shot the ol cruiser and then 2-3 second for my pod. I really had no chance. Sad.

Pretty much the only risk flying through highsec as a flashy red is if you accidentally go through one of the concord systems.. Then you are screwed.
Oh and if you can avoid 0.9 and 1.0 systems as well.

although do note that some of the navys down around amarr will scram then web.
oh and in concord systems concord is the faction police, so tough luck there
