Hello all :)
I was wondering what fitting would be the best for low-sec mining with a Hulk?
Any suggestions?
Thx!

If you get caught in low sec in a hulk, your fitting won't matter. So just fit for max mining, tanking/droning the local rats, and stay aligned to something!

Its the best, in lowsec their is no competition with other miners.

It has to be an officer fit! Hevrice is a nice system to mine in, close to high sec and no other miners around. Belts filled with pristine rocks.

Best fit to mine with hulk in lowsec or 0.0 is hulk + one or two electronic assaultship with damps + jammers + one or two bc / bs for firepower and maybe a recon ship scanning for incoming hostiles and a t2 hauler. All aligned to safe spot. Orca would be good to have around too.
But mining alone in 0.0 or lowsec, make sure that the system is friendly and currently controlled by your corp / alliance...
Mining alone in odd lowsec / nullnull = dead hulk. No matter the fit, if some one catch you, you die. Roses are #FF0000, Violets are ##0000FF, all my base are belong to you... |

If you must mine in lowsec, use a covetor instead. You can insure it and the yeild isn't that much lower. Still not a good idea though.

It's not as dire as all that. Pick the right system, make sure you can find a way to get minerals in and out of the system, and make sure you watch local.
Once you get jumped, the ship is as good as dead. I think I got out alive from pirate jumps twice living in a system with a ton of belts but almost no traffic that shall not be named. But I also only lost three hulks and no pods in the two years I was there so the ratio isn't all that bad.
Just watch local, watch directional scanner, and be paranoid. Unless you really know the corp/person by name, suspect something. Your sense for this just gets more and more attuned the more time you spend there. And it's damn good training for 0.0 mining if that's where you eventually want to go.

Staying aligned won't matter. The first second someone who can fly a stealth bomber finds him its over. --
