A few days ago when i heard of the GentlemanĘs Club fleet moving four jumps from my deployment, I didn't react at all. I had three times the numbers and almost all of my forces were heavy hulls. Apparently they were just on a roam of murderous intent while I was busy assaulting a cloning facility.
I though "yeah, let them come. Our enemies aren't giving us a fight and this may at least be a moment of fun in the long hours of camping."
then I heard from the FC of a semi-neutral fleet that his forces were obliterated two jumps away, they had been caught by GC and I started to pay more attention.
Then I was given a report on ship dispositions, kill-board references and the tactics employed and as a junior officer reviewed the kill-data I was informed "there are No.Mercy in that fleet"
To be frank, I believe that No.Mercy is not to be taken lightly. I have fought with them and know the depth of their capability and find it disserving of respect even as we are -10 enemies.
ItĘs a game after all, respect where it is due.
Therefore I ordered a change in disposition in the forces arrayed and created a defensive formation with drag bubbles. If I was going to fight a No.Mercy backed fleet I was going to do it at maximum efficiency.
That they made me react rather than just sit idle and order the fleet to explode any incoming reds shows they have a reputation for ability.
