Nonexistent Face Amarr Deaf Rights Advocates	Posted - 2009.11.17 16:23:00 - [1] This is not a corporation for those who want to talk on VoIP during fleets and as the social aspect of the corporation. This is specifically for those who do not or cannot. We do not have a current goal right now, I am first seeing if anyone is interested in this somewhat-unique corporation and then after we get some pilots, I will look over their professions and then decide on a direction depending on the size, interest, and the professions of the majority pilots. Most likely this direction will be a combat-related one as I am a combat pilot myself. We welcome all professions - ISK makers, combat pilots, and industrialists. For the combat pilots, it does not matter if you are a PvP or a PvE pilot - there will be other pilots in this corporation who share your interests in your combat direction OR swing both ways (no pun intended). To the industrialists, we greatly welcome you whether or not you mine or manufacture [or both]. After all, the combat pilots will need ships. I'm not going to BS you guys. This is a brand-new corporation and therefore can be labeled as 'new' ... or 'poor' to say the least. It will take some time to get the wheels rolling, all we can do right now is pretty much socialize and perhaps discuss the direction of the corporation. For those who care, my background: I am a deaf player myself. I do have a cochlear implant IRL but I cannot understand vent/TS very well, and I've had several bad experiences in corporations for the last few years where all of them would say this statement, that once sounded good. "Yes, we definitely can accommodate you and your deafness." They don't. All of them haven't or did not give the effort that was required. Anyways, I am not here to complain. Yes, I am a deaf player and generally a combat pilot. I will be participating in mission running as well as general PvP (but either only 0.0 or lowsec as long as I won't turn outlaw). I 'do' plan for some manufacturing skills later on after I get plenty of combat-related skills to manufacture my own ships for use in PvP. Respect for doing what you are trying to do. Voicecomms has it's obvious advantages in pvp but I see no reason why decent pvp squads could not be run through good drilling and perhaps some form of shorthand text commands (which has kind of got me thinking on that front).
