Edited by: StiZum Hilidii on 07/11/2004 21:35:38 Would like to thank ca for a fantastic fleet battle.
unlike times before we didnt have to jump in to hlw so the kinda of easy kills we provided last time were not available this time.
Also many thanks to the well organised pilots of SA and Xetic STAN

It was no fun at all for me
I didn't lose my ship but I could not lock a single ship, messages were coming up 5 mins after.
I was also getting messages to say i could not warp, as i was warp scrambled, ummm I wasn't trying to warp.
I hope Shiva addresses the unplayabillity of this game for battles of more than 25 players.
I have a top spec pc and a fast connection, and in normal play my pc behaves perfect, I can play 3 accounts at the smae time, but I cant enjoy the fleet battles that Empire building will need.

yeh bobby dead. that the only thing i was apart of. the rest of the battle i was part of the lag. CCP i think you need to get a refund on those hardware upgrades cause it a joke. for half the CA fleet to lock anything taking over 1min and then another 1min to activate a mod is cr*p. i know few SA had that same problem as they said in local. I for one am not taking part in any fleet battles from now on until i see a difference in how the game logs everything during the fight. cause thats the problem and not our computers.
but whatever good fight

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 07/11/2004 21:50:51 I couldnt turn on my 2nd armor repairer, but oh well. Always nice to win by such a strong margin. And im just going by killmails posted in gang. Anyway, I get the feeling that even if it was 60 kills to 1 you'd still be boasting you got me.

Thanks.
It was somewhat marred by the uber-lag and client bugs though. A lot of our guys couldn't see the enemy ships at all, which always seems to happen with that many ships in one grid (there was ~150 in local I think) and seems to affect whoever's already on grid (ie us in this case). Also some people's locks went on forever, and modules were taking between 15 to 90 seconds to activate. 11,000 people online meant the servers were heavily loaded, as well as the usual client problems.
Given all that I think the kill:loss ratio was acceptable, although you guys did get more bship kills for sure. We did bail fairly early on due to so many people having problems.
I'd encourage everybody who cares about fleet battles actually working to get on Shiva and help test out the client scalability. I think we should organise a big battle in PF-346 one night, get some of the devs/GMs along to see if it grinds to a halt like TQ. ____________________________________

Tell me who died besides me. We asked for a solid 10 minutes and no one replied, and we could find no battleship cans.
