I'm just trying to find out more information about whether bubbles work at all in low-sec. I've heard that bubbles cant be anchored in low-sec but I saw a Heavy Interdictor with it's bubble up on a gate in low-sec. Does anyone know whether HIC bubbles in low-sec actually work (can people warp out of them, or are they just allowed to be put up for show, with no effect?) and if they do work, can you set up a bubble 100km off a gate in low-sec, aligned to another gate, and still catch things? Also, does anyone know the range of gate sentry guns in low-sec? Thanks

The bubble effect displaying is a graphical bug. There is actually not a bubble there. Bubbles cannot be deployed in low sec (0.1-0.4)
Sentry guns have a range of about 150km. I am not sure if that is an exact number that defines all sentry guns, but it's pretty darn close. .

ok thanks, was hoping to set up a HIC + BC to do some camping in a system that sees really heavy hauler-traffic, just they can never be caught lol

Get some good scan res on your HIC and use Infinite point script on the bubble launcher thing.

Ahh yeah, do those scripted bubbler's also shut off MWDs? like a long-range scram? or are they just glorified points with the ability to hold down stabbed ships?

Edited by: Marcus Alkhaar on 22/11/2009 18:20:35 You should try a remote repped + remote sensor boosted, plated harpy with 4 disruptors
[Harpy, Harpy Catch] 400mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Armor Explosive Hardener II
Fleeting Warp Disruptor I Fleeting Warp Disruptor I Fleeting Warp Disruptor I Fleeting Warp Disruptor I
Highslots doesn't matter. [empty high slot]
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
3.8k Signature resolution. Use a domi or tempest to remote rep/boost. They can kill the hauler pretty quick too. Tempest is the better of the 2 though.

activating the infipiont with a script in will show the bubble effect for anyone jumping to that gate until you leave the grid.

light dictors load the disruption probe into a sphere launcher, and 'fire' it out into space which makes a bubble for 3 minutes and then collapses. The light dictor can then be killed wapr off, log off etc and the bubble remains for the duration unaffected.
heavy dictors use a dedicated module to errect (giggerdy) a bubble from the ship itself, the bubble moves with the ship and collapses if the ship runs out of cap, dies logs etc. Difference being here that the module can be loaded with the scipt to focused the bubble into one unstopable warp disrupter.
