I believe that's a TOS violation
The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

This may be a shady precedent, just keep giving your goverment more reasons to Tax the videogames you play.
On the other hand this may lead to a new Rich Class lead by pro/powergamers, and of course massive RMT bots. |

This wouldn't cause a dramatic upswing in the number of bots, hacked accounts, or alliance ISK abuse. Not at all. |

This.
But the important question is, how will it be taxed? Like actual income? Or like gambling?
If it's treated properly and I can write off rifter losses as business-related operating expenses, this might be a good thing.

Good to know.
Silentwitness, the balancing of the melee classes vs ranged classes on Inferno is broken. A +33% to dodge is worthless when the entire area around an enemy is covered in bad touch spots. There's no way to stay in melee range without dying, which means you run around like an idiot while the sorcerer or demon hunter does damage to the mob. It's okay if you lower our damage, just let us survive getting into close range.
Also, your puzzle pieces are too large or there aren't enough of them. The environments look terribly static. although my eyes were open they might have just as well've been closed

This idea fail in EvE, because D3 got random unique items with random statistic, while in EvE all items got same atributes, who want pay for identical items. |

The graphics cards weren't an ingame item, however plex can be purchased with real money. It was really graphics cards for money. |

It would be nice if players who are making alot of ISK can do something with it. Even if it was a case of trading ISK/PLEX for items which CCP and their partners wish to promote;
CCP sells Graphics cards for Plex http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=28595
CCP sells Passes for Plex http://fanfest.eveonline.com/en/info/plex
The plex system went a long way to help CCP control some of the RMT and at least started putting some of the real money back into CCPs own pockets. If done carefully CCP could draw in yet another revenue stream which is currently being siphoned off by RMTrs. New players already spend real money to play EvE in easy mode. Easy mode equates to; buy plex with real money - sell plex for isk - buy ships and fittings - then die gloriously in a fire - Rinse and repeat!
If you give the players a 'legal' way to profit from gaming they will take it and work with you to help expose all the illegal or botting RMTrs.
Worth watching if you havn't already. State of the economy 2012 - Youtube
One of the things that makes EvE great is its active economy. CCP will always go to alot of effort and expense to monitor and control the economy. As mentioned in the above video CCP will be starting to introduce a lot of new sinks since the economy is growing to fast. |

Unless I misunderstood, all you had to do was buy Plex with ISK you had earned in-game then 'redeem' them back to your account to place the order. Which means they could be bought with ISK alone. |

I'm seriously considering writing up a userscript that allows me to pop open a context menu when posting on these forums and entering a canned reply every time somebody thinks that in-game PLEX are seeded by NPCs eh |

in fact the guy who buys PLEX in-game to pay for his account is almost always paying more for his account than the guy paying a subscription in US dollars, even moreso if the PLEX was originally purchased for GBP/Euros eh |

If you are making 50 or 100B ISK a month then it dosn't matter that you are paying a little extra for your game time, you will never use real money to pay for the game. Newer players buy the PLEX with real money so they can fly shineys. They either have more real-money than time or just can't be bothered with the grind. Either way there will always be players willing to throw real money to get items/ships in EvE.
I personally use isk for everything. Like the offer CCP sent out a couple of months back. Two x PLEX for a new account with six months subscription. Pretty damn good deal. |
