If you accept assistance from a corp or alliance against another corp, the corp assisting should not be able to in turn wardec the corp they are assisting. we currently have a situation to where we were decced by a memeber who was kicked out. He pulled in a merc corp (all good with that) a merc corp offered us assistance, we accepted. Since we knew the guy we kicked has 5 accounts, 5 monitors and such we in turn decced his alt corp to prevent him from being able to follow himself around with 5 ships and run logi on him when he needs. Well now the merc corps who's assistance WE accepted have turned around and are now assisting his alt corp against us. This seems like an abuse of the system and a loophole that needs to be closed. A corp assisting you should not be able to wardec you for the duration of their assistance. |

A corp assisting you should not be able to wardec you for the duration of their assistance. the system is intentionally blind to who the player is and is set up for each character created to act as they wish independent of any other characters no matter who is controlling them. In this situation you are suggesting that alteration character information be stored ingame for people to see and use to their advantage. I don't want that. On some characters I'm an *******. Others I'm incredibly helpful. I don't want to get one of my carebears dec'd do I. |

no no you misunderstand. The situation is that the merc corps assisting the corp I am in are also assisting the alt corp he uses to run his POSes and PI. it's a weird situation to where our allies are also our enemies. |

So that you can't wardec your altcorp, ask mercs for assistance, lock them into a mutual war, and make it so that they can never ever wardec or be used against your maincorp.
There should never be a mechanic that says "corp A can not wardec corp B" for any reason, unless there is a way for corp A to break the rule somehow. |

why not? How does it make sense that a corp assisting you, can also be at war with you? |

Have you asked your merc corp what their intentions are? Could it be a tactic they are using, and its all in your favor? |

Most likely the "mercs" just want more targets. So they will try to ally into any war. There are corps out there that currently are allies in hundreds of wars.
PS- Note that in the near future:
a) If you make a war mutual you drop your allies. b) It will cost increasing amounts of isk to add allies. |

I guess WarDec system should prevent fuzzy states. You either in War or not. Either Concord ignores you or not. |

Its not a loop whole, treated as 2 Different Wars...
A Wardecs B, C assists A against B
A then Wardecs D, C assists D against A
Way around this is to form stronger alliances with those who would be assisting you and then you know they wont do this...
Mercs/Highsec Wardec Corps mainly just want pew...doesn't matter much who as long as their are explosions |
