I did mention this in an other topic shortly but in the years eve did grow on players its space did not grow with that.
We need loads more space and especially in 0.0, that should be so big that it is not possible to control it.
Its called space and we dont have enough of it.
Did you know that there are large swathes of space in the south that have no sov right now? Why dont you go claim some of that?
Its not direct about not claimed or sov'd space its about that eve has grown on players more then space has. I remember that ccp announced to have broken the 10k record players online and look now how many there online, space did not grow as much, we had some new systems and we got the drone region, ( where I lived as no one wanted it till some big aliances got interested in that piece of space ).
Space should be space and what is wrong with a 1000 systems more? Hell, make it a few 1000's more even. Wasteland, places where you can explore and you wont see any one for many many jumps.
Now I have to say that I agree it would be very cool to make the map larger, but the fact is that CCP increased the number of systems by almost 50% just 8 months ago, and furthermore it was all the kind of space that you have just described, and specifically designed to be free from control by large alliances.

yes but what is 50% more space when there now 400-500% more players ingame. I rather have less pretty planets and more space.

Sov space is already rather underpopulated - go fly through it some time and see for yourself. I'm all in favour of CCP adding 3 or 4 more new large NPC regions like Venal or Stain, but frankly, there just isn't a shortage of sov space at the moment. Hopefully, Dominion will increase the number of players in 0.0, which could in turn lead to a genuine need for more space, but if the main effect of Dominion is to increase the economic carrying capacity then that will actually reduce the need for so many systems.
And remember that there are economic costs to CCP for increasing the number of systems. If you double the number of systems, then you have to double the number of nodes each server maintains, which has knock on effects for lag, since you're increasingly likely to have fights on multiple nodes on the same server.

to the OP: welcome to EVE's recruitment forum section.
Go find a good group of people (CVA come to mind for a good way to ease into null-sec) and get the hell out of empire.
You will find many empty systems (or even constellations) in both Sov and NPC null-sec. Also... since you have been a player for so long, you will know to look at your in-game map and flip on system population statistics to understand which areas might be less populated.
So, before you complain about null-sec not being available for your personal use, try the countless options that thousands of pilots have used for so many years before now.
Oh, and be prepared to lose your ship many times. Keep the navy BS / marauder docked up in empire. If that doesn't appeal to you, then tough luck.

The whole point of lack of space even if that were true is conflict. Its how most wars start so of course it has to be a resource. Moon goo availability has messed that up but with Dominion hopefully you will see the proper expansion of space now. Adding more space will do nothing except add to the tedium of travel to get to you're enemy.
Also wormholes provide solo players a place of their own. You don't need Sov at all to protect it as you do in nul sec. You don't get large roaming bands, no hot drops or cap ships at all and no bubbles or camps. Try there. Many players have and are doing very well with the occasional PVP action as a bonus.
Nul sec is about conflicts, war and players taking advantage of that. There is plenty other places for the rest of us we can't be greedy.

I always laugh when I see some say that we need more space, when you can literally fly around 0.0, sometimes for 30+ jumps, and not see a single pilot the entire time.

If you want unknown space the answer is really W-Space.
You could in Theory with a group of dedicated people wonder around and never see another soul. To some extent I think CCP made too many exits to W-Space.
I may be wrong here but I always thought it would have been interesting if once the Initial Wormhole closes, in some cases you would have to go through 10 more before you could get back to normal space.
ie have edge systems that take you back to normal space and the deeper you go the less a chance there is to find a exit back to normal space.
IT may be that way right for all I know I haven't met a group that is dedicated to that style play yet, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
