WW1 wasn't a two front war, it was one long trench with French and others on the other side. Germans were horriably outnumbered like WW2 but unlike WW2 they did not have a Communist empire to face, russia in much of the war was in tormoil and fighting against both sides just as much as it was itself with the red revolution happened. Also the russia they faced then was a backwards near midevil kingdom that considered calvary a valid option in the 20th century, while brutal to live under Stalin he industrialized things with a bunch of factorys, they used SMGs, and developed AK47 and all that jazz. The person who made the mistake with a two front war, and invading russia was Napolian (dictator yes, but he was French, Germany at the time wasn't sure if it wanted to be a nation yet) On another note; a joke to add on top the carrier lost was that a topic was made about it but it was closed and moved to crime and punishment, so it must be a crime to have fits that bad. I think that the single biggest assistance provided by anyone, while taking Delve was by a chap called Sir Molle. When faced with the daunting task of taking 400+ towers, no greater assistance could be rendered than getting all of BoB/GBC's caps camped in PR-8, allowing their dread fleets to work around the clock without fear of hot-drops. The strategy you mistake for lethargy, is in fact them helping out the guys that helped them when it counted.
