What I understand as sniper rule is that the time is extend max 15 min over the last bid BEFORE the 'official' closing time and no bids after official time extend the time.

If sniper bid works te way I though (no real clue here): I have the highest bid on pith x-type large shield booster, shadow serpentis large armor repairer and true sansha warp disruptor. For how much, I have no idea.
If the sniper rule works only before closing time: I have no idea what is going on.
Either way I will not bid anymore. At least before we get some sense into this.

I think op needs to look when was the last bid on a item before (or on) 2200, add 15 minutes and see who has the winning bid at that time because that's how the sniper rule should work.
And I do have an objection to what you're suggesting because I really don't want to watch the thread for OP to appear.

From the time of the last bid on any item, you have 15 minutes to bid on that item. If a 15-minute period expires without a bid (and the official auction end-time has passed), the auction for that item is finished. Otherwise, the auction for that item continues.

i bid 50% of whatever the lowest sell price is on contract unless its more than what has already been bid, in which case i bid 0.1 isk over what has already been bid unless it is over 300m in which case i don't bid anything but will buy a tengu for like. i dont know. 395m unless someone has bid more in which case I don't bid and if they have bid less i bid what they bid plus like 9000 more.
I'll buy some other stuff as well but I don't know what the bids are for anything atm.
500m for the crystal set.

But then again, is not the purpose of the sniper rule to prevent last second bidding i.e. to prevent everyone from waiting to the last possible moment and see who happens to get the bid in just before the closing time? If the sniper rule applies only to bids before closing time, this problem is simply postponed a bit.
To stella: I'm afraid the bidding on the pith shield booster ended no matter how you look at the sniper rule. I also believe the highest bid is some millions over 300.

you speak a little against yourself. If there was only one 15 minute period "overtime" then there is no actual point of a sniper rule. Sniper rule is so noone can bid in the last second of an auction (overtime or not).
