I'm sure if they'll catch you you'll be podded the same as any other corp would kill their wartargets pods.
However, being podded in hisec and losec is very difficult unless you're bad at this game or you have a ******ed moment.

It's PvP, you'll get podded eventually if you are active in it. Podding in high sec is usually a bit more difficult though, so it's far, far, less likely to happen then in low sec and in low sec it's pretty rare already. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00

Gettting podded is not necessarily a sign that "you suck". Play long enough, and it WILL happen. Though, there are some simple things you can do to minimize the chances. Probably the most effective thing you can do is once you "know" your ship is going down pick anything (celestial, station, gate) on your overview that you can warp to and start spamming the "warp to" button BEFORE your ship pops, and don't stop until your pod is in warp. As you are in warp, have your next place selected and as soon as you land "bounce" to that spot. Rinse/repeat until you reach a desired safe or your aggro timer has elapsed to where you can jump/dock.
Now, if you run into a gang with sensor boosted inty's, if you give them even the slightest chance to point that pod, they'll snag it. Hence why you are smashing that mouse button through your desk top before your ship pops.
Just as with ships....the same applies to implants....fly only what you can afford (or want :P) to lose. For sooner or later, it WILL happen. |

I was in FW for a bit, but I can't speak for all areas and factions...
first, there is absolutely no penalty for podding war targets (WTs, members of the opposing faction) in highsec or lowsec. no concord, no standings hit, nothing.
When in friendly hi-sec, I don't believe I've ever seen a war target (WT). They don't enter your highsec (usually) because gate guns and npc navies will jump on them, so it's not usually worth it. If you're in enemy highsec, the NPC navy won't kill your pod, but any WTs will definitely take a shot.
hope that helps

I have read this advice more than once but I have never been able to figure out just what the "warp to" button is. I have looked at the hotkeys and searched the net with no success at finding the "warp to" button. Can somebody please tell me what the "warp to" button is?

Well I lost my Iteron in Amarr (the trade hub that is) to a hurricane that happily tanked our pitiful navy without any obvious problems. I don't mind the Iteron but losing that SB + fittings (in cargo) that I was moving else where was kind of annoying but also reminded me that (fw NPC)navy really is crappy and no where near the same as your regular concorde/high sec navy police.

Wrong on many levels!
Firstly, opposing factional warfare players will NOT suffer gate gun fire unless they go GCC If anyone goes GCC in Empire, they'll also suffer Concorde's wrath. Shooting at a wartarget typically does not flag you as a criminal. it might be an idea to get these facts in order befoore offering advice to teh contraray matey!
Enemy wartargets will often enter enemey high sec to look for easy ganks (idiots on autopilot... people afk on a gate etc). The NPC navies scale upwards as the security of the system rises. The NPC navies in 0.5 are relatively easy to shutdown by a couple of ECCM'd logistics ships in a safespot, leaving the players free to run amok in that system. Removed. In low- or high-sec, the only ways to get podded if you really want to avoid it are: 1)Lag 2)Smartbombs 3)Own fail.
Same goes for blackbirds. Pods warp instantly, so either you need to use SBs or have a bubble, or a situation where the pod doesn't attempt to warp at all.
