My friend and I were in low sec scanning out some site when we came to a site that instantly we found to be odd. The first thing about this would be the activation gate that was titled as a "spatial rift"

The next thing that we found odd once having gone though the gate is that there were these 5 Red cans that neither of us had seen before.

We killed all the rats (which happened to be drone rats) and decided to take a closer look at these cans. We came to find that they were completely empty and seemed to have no use. We tried every thing we could think of including shooting at them (no damage was done to the can however) trying to use a cargo scanner, and using a code breaker. We also were going to attempt to use an analyzer but we were not able to get to one in time due to the downtime kicked us off.
We figure there must be something to these cans because we could see no reason why they would be there for nothing. If anyone could help us on figuring out what the point of these are, as well as what could be done to possibly find some loot in them, it would be greatly appreciated!

These cans in drone plex's are always empty, guess they are just a long standing bug.
However in the drone DED plexes such as the 3/10 the cans have stuff in them, awesome, awesome riches such as 1000 trit or 100 mexalon, so you are probably not missing out on much even if they did have stuff in them.
Repeat the following mantra 'High sec drone site = worthless drone site'

The only reason for such cans is to get people confused and create threads like this.

I Got a Shadow Serp Tracking Comp in a 3/10 drone complex and it sold for 80 million. It's random, like the rest.
And that site with the leaking canisters can sometimes spawn a t2 drone, with t2 salvage.
(I also got a dark blood webber from a rat in a high sec belt the other day that sold for 50 million. I was only out there to see what lasers looked liked when I fired them. Pure luck).
