It should have it where goons are fighting IT, and on the goon teamspeak it is nothing but racist jokes and and on the IT teamspeak it's nothing but arrogance thinly veiling emoness... it should portray the gritty truth of the game! In fact, it should be completely muted because audio is usually off when you have a crappy comp. It should actually be played on premium light because most people have outdated hardware, so it should have worse possible graphics and extremely low resolution. It should also have a good deal of macro mining in it, and CAOD quotes should be streaming on the bottom.
Just like how in FPS games they have a bunch of scenes of you getting 5v1 teamed because your teammates are ****ing around trying to glitch, or you getting killed by some idiot who's been camping for 30 minutes in the same spot waiting to finally get one kill. Those trailers show the real game! If it showed things like fast paced action, lots of explosions and how leet you WOULD be (if it werent for those damn campers and noobs!) then nobody would play it once they realized how UNCOOL it is to get camped!
And in RPG games, like final fantasy, they show how you have to wait for your action bar and that most of the game is polygons (FFVII)...not some fully pre-rendered storyline with gorgeous visuals and junk that has nothing to do with gameplay! If it did, NOBODY would play final fantasy, and if they did try the game, they'd assume the pre-rendered JUNK would be exactly what it's supposed to look like! Then be super disappointed!

there were a few things just not possible :|
im pretty sure that chimera was firing aa guns and then was hit by some sort of emp/anti-shield bomb. It probably could have docked unless it was in triage.
Also somehow the dragon fleet got in undiscovered? The cyno would have been obvious.
Fighters were in there as well, something that wont be released in dominion. And maybe it's just me but it seemed like ships came out of warp faster :<
Oh yah and they actually left cool wreckage instead of some random mess of stuff for subcap ships.
But thats what trailers do, and it's a damn well put together trailer so props to the team that did it ^^ I've watched it like 10 times now. |

You guys don't seem to understand how trailers work.
They show the best of the game or how they wish the game was or important storyline events. What you are asking for is them to take a recording of 3 minutes of gameplay then put it up on youtube..... How utterly pointless would that be. If you wanna see a couple minutes of actual 100% pure unedited gameplay try playing the game.
Also yes I know they used to have trailers that where pure gameplay footage and it was a rather nice thing "best of the game" comes to mind. However it was a cheap solution and over time they've developed tools to make the trailers better quality (purely mechanicaly speaking) while still keeping them 'close' to ingame footage. This leaves the actual gameplay trailers to fans and there are some rather good ones out there like The Angel Cartel (Push Eject) if you still feel the need for pure gameplay ones.
Unfotunately we get heaps of people running around going "OH GOD, they changed it somebody hold me" or "There wasn't enough mining in the trailer I want more mining in trailers this is racist/unrealistic".

You know... you dont really need a good computer to enjoy how good eve looks.
My laptop was $1400 Aus (It was worth $1700 though) and it can run eve on full detail. Unfortunatly its my internet connection that lets me down, so i have to turn my graphics down a little.
Anyway, sure the ships dont act like the ones in the trailer, but they look almost as good anyway.
So really, stop crying and enjoy the game, if you have a problem here, go play WoW, you would fit in better.

lol they have to make it more exciting otherwise people would get drawn to it lol. Uf they just shown a youtube lkink to some cap fleet well no one would be interested..
Thats why eve has stayed stagnant for a while really despite the massive advertising, because people start see the points you mad. Eve is not for the mainstream and never will be unless CCP look at it for the masses. Heck they making million in subs every month so why should they care..its hard enough to ge them to fix the game nevermind make it better for new players!

I was looking at some old eve videos and the old cyno effect was indeed cooler than the current one, but it still looked aweful. Want to buy a cyno effect that has a lightnening bolt sort of Pizzazz "I'm here boys" rather than Weakness we have at the mo
