Hello
2 weeks ago i did something very stupid and subsequently have 5 accounts banned instantly. What i did is of no concern, except it may have warrented that responce. However that being said i had already let 3 of my accounts go and was simply waiting on the other two to expire as i had, had enough, everything was to easy, i was bored, i found it difficult to even bother to log in anymore.
As this happend my friend said to me *did you ever think of starting again now that learning skills are gone*, this had never crossed my mind, it just didn't, who would want to start again? Why would you? But he kept on and so i did and something amazing happend.
EvE got good again, things such as missions and the epic arc are again challenging. Everything i am doing is challenging and im having to fit carefully because of certain skills (old chars at 90mil sp +) are not high enough, having to find the right mod, the right meta etc
So in a way CCP, whilst my anger at my accounts being banned is diminishing as it was my fault but maybe not. My joy at EvE Online when im playing, is great
So thank you. Again my fav game since 03 is again my main interest in MMOS
You made it interesting. My advice to any player who like (don't get banned for one) but if you are becoming bored with eve, get rid of your accounts and start again cause this is so much bloody fun. |

Nice post.
Also, alternately for those that aren't having accounts banned, you could just leave your older character on long trains and play on your noob character account in FW or whatever. Loads of fun flying frigates, destroyers and cruisers in low level missions and fw pvp. |

I agree with this way of thinking. let my alt accounts go dark, doomhiemed my main and started again. Suddenly, pressures of alliance politics, the boredom of the high skilled player, doing things just for the sake of doing it, all of that, it all just dissapears and the game DOES become fun again. + 1
Plus, gives you a chance to drop contact with all those assholes and hangers on you accumulate during your Eve career

That's what I did - fooling around in frigs in 100+ mill SP characters is unfortunately discouraged by a clone cost policy that was implemented at a time where noone ever figured charcters would go beyond 50 mill SP.
I still have my high SP characters, but I hardly log them on anymore, except for making some cash. You know... morons. |

EVE: the only game where the endgame is the beginning. Not everyone thinks the same way you do. This doesn't automatically make them wrong. |

yeah its rather hard as a player whoes main is over 100m sp to get back into the game...
1. clones are a ***** to pay for as i am casual player
2. there are no real pve chalenges for me left in the game...
i would mostly do pve and the odd roam and cta when i had time...
i mean i can do a 10/10 complex with just my rattlesnake...
i really with CCP greatly reduced clones costs like they did for PW but for owning 0.0 systems and having good relations with npc corps...
and two made missions/complexes more difficult... (not like incusions where you need to team up) but more chalenging solo pve stuff... PLEX FOR PIZZA!

They should just get rid of the current med clone system so you just have to re-upgrade for the skills that were applied to the ship that got blown up.
The current system wrongly assumes that a high SP character equals a rich character. By current eve standards, I'm ****-poor. And it just doesn't make sense to pay 5-10x the price of the fitted ship for an empty clone.
Anyway - I'd recommend giving it a try to bitter vets - just roam around, get blow up in hilarious ways and just stay there sitting in your pod to take the quick way home... You know... morons. |

This is the reason why some players prefer to play this game as single player . One only has to read forum replies to realise what a bunch of sociopaths the EvE community really is.

The idea of having Skill points lost only apply to the ship you were flying would be interesting.
I think this would really help some players with getting out there more as well.

...or change the clone type so they match the implant levels that can be plugged in?
Alpha clone = no implants etc.
Also, I'd like to see individual re-mappable clones, so if you get blown up, your new clone gets an attribute reset/remap. |

I do this quite often with throw away accounts or older accocunts I reactivate with plex, it's just amazing how much fun you can have with a 1 or 2 mill sp toon in a new rifter/ishkur sunning straight ahead to low sec.
I can imagine some of those guys telling themselves 'yey easy prey noob' -mwahaha, very funny brb |

What i did was stupid and will remain irrelevant. This thread is about thanking CCP, not for banning but for resparking my interest in a game i had lost all hope in and had become bored. |
