Hi all,
I started up eve assuming i would have an update to perform as i havent run the singularity .exe for a week or so, so i let eve autopatch to 117738. Ive now run the .exe again and its coming up with incompatible (version). I ran the repair file and allowed it to check the integrity and see if any files needed replacing. Once it was complete i started eve again and again got the same message. I am running XP if that helps in anyway, help appreciated
You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

I've just got this problem, aswell.
Seems the new patch breaks the Sisi client for some people /=
I've been on Sisi for awhile, and haven't logged in in a couple days, but new patch changed the awesome-as-**** Black Dominion Splash-screen to the new Too-Busy-To-Be-Cool Red Dominion Splash (since when is there that much going on in an EVE splash screen? Ugly, imo), and now it's trying to connect to Tranquility instead of Singularity.
Tried reinstalling, it patched again, and went back to Tranquility...
Is the Sisi client broken?

Edited by: Rael Klaiin on 28/11/2009 22:16:14 I don't use a shortcut, never have, I've been using the .exe and going on weekly romps through Sisi for years.
I use steam to handle all of my games, even non-steam. It's just easier. But if there's something I can put in a shortcut to force it to connect to Sisi, do elaborate...

ok thats weird they changed it a while a go so you had to create a shortcut and add /server:87.237.38.50 to the end of the target box

sisi is full of issues with steam Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

Not the steam version of EVE. And not patching through Steam. Steam has nothing to do with it, just using that to explain why I don't have a shortcut. Same issues directly from the (repeat: non-steam) .exe

There's your problem right there. Normally a Sisi client will automatically try to connect to Singularity, but not now. These are release candidates for the moment, and because of that they point to Tranquility if you do not force them to connect to Singularity manually. Of course you'll get a version mismatch error if that happens. Use a shortcut as described in many other threads here with the /server switch. That will fix your problem.
