I've been told that Serpentis rats of all sizes drop these, but haven't seen the cruisers/frigs do so, to date.
I've also tried hitting Sanshas cruisers/frigs with the same result (no named armour hardeners drop).
I've actually only ever seen them drop from BS rats.
Can anyone confirm:
1. Which rats they drop from? 2. What class of ship they drop from?
Cheers

I've gotten some decent ones from Sansa's battleships. Most of mine came from Overlords (1 mil bounty). I've also had Sansa's cruisers drop them, usually the 75k to 100k variety, but they're the low end named ones.
The best bet would probably be the BSs, especially if you want the better ones. _______________________________________________ Eris Discordia: On the scale of funny and constructive it scores low, real low. |

I get some from Blood Raider Battleship npc:s, never seen one from the cruisers. The Cruisers drop named energized membranes though.
The named hardeners they drop are of all types. Their bonus is less cpu used and longer cycle times. Useful on a cpu-tight ship. They still do 50% hardening, if you want more than that you need to find a commander spawn, they give 55%.
Hope that helps.

Sansha's do drop named hardners. I have a hanger full of em. It just requires some time spent NPCing to get the drops. Also don't ignore frig drops, you can sometimes still get uber kit.
If you want to hunt sansha's, head to providence...they are in abundance there.

The best thing i have found in a frigate is some 24% cargo expanders so it pays to check them occasionally.. i usualy go ratting with a guy in a fast frig to collect the loot and attract the rats attention.

i got a 27.44% expander off a frigate.
It pays to trawl through all that crud (occasionally) .
