'Twas the night before Dominion

Twas the Night Before Dominion through the constellation, not an alliance was stirring, not even Sansha's Nation.
The ships tucked away in their slips with great care, in hopes that some action soon would be there.
The pilots all snuggled up in their station, with visions of battles for isk and for nation.
'Takis in his Abby and I in my Apoc, had just settled down to take trade in our stock
When up on local did appear, but a wee little fleet - ten REDS, oh dear!
We armed for mid range, hoping Scorch hits the spot. We slapped on pulse, and web, and a point, Why not?
Corp channel rang with intel, at least they got ship types before their hulks fell.
Vent woke with a bustling clatter, even Lump paused his "show" to see what's the matter.
Rigorn spoke over vent with ghostly cool ease, he said let's kill them all and go to bed, please?
The channels all buzzed and whirred back to life, no aggro from kids or work from the wife.
The dictors and carriers hummed in their hangars, like death on a saddle they shook off the languor.
We sprang for the undock at call from FC, warped to the jump bridge and cackled with glee.
We danced to our choke point for we knew we had trapped them, with hics and hacs and a titan! *ahem*
With bellies full of our miners' hard labor, their cargo would spill, they've lost their gods' favor.
They should have looked at the map before their attack, for now they're mired in our cul-de-sac.
The bubbles aligned quickly with great care, for soon the reds would surely to be there.
With glares of steel we watch closely, the clock ticks on slowly, morosely.
With but ten ships are they, what can they do? Maybe stealth up and scare folks, and talk smack to you.
Ten down to four, they start to log off. I kick my ship hard and we start to scoff.
We settle back in to refit our ships, to chortle and chide, and snipe the cowards with quips.
Dreams fill our heads of Dominion next morning, what will it bring? Fun or more mourning?
Something is sure, no matter what will appear. We'll always need trit, and always have beer.
