EVE is pretty much the only polished game out there that is hardcore and worth playing. SWG failed on me, AoC failed on me, you guys are holding the line for us hardcore players and we definately appreciate it. Keep blazing your own path through the MMO industry, I'm with ya.

This time around, I am finally getting comfortable with the game. The reason I left was because CCP made a bad ass game. So much content, so much to do and take into account. It is overwhelming to some, but this is the reason this amazing game is still around and seriously...6 years and they are still releasing awesome content. Sold for life. --Josh

Wrangler, Navigator, Explorer, and many others get his share as extra for putting up with all the horrible patch day spam, as well as harsh words against CCP when it is only one man who really deserves it. NxN	Posted - 2009.12.01 18:55:00 - [85] Telling the truth I wasn't much of a fan, but after I saw the fanfest videos I am not just a fan, I am fanatic fan :) Seriously, great kudos and respect for what CCP is doing. What impressed me the most is how much CPP spends on research and 'exploring new grounds and ideas' field, and how much they invest in Eve, which in the end, makes the game better. Plus some cool stuff, eg. like the original ship physics engine was written by the real Physics Professor of 'Chaos Physics' - whatever it is... and what other company employs a Lead Economist to monitor the game economy? Kudos to CCP Dr.EyjoG Also, I am not a console fan, but the vision they have with Dust 514 is impressive... I hope it works out for them. But tbh, all I needed was to see the HTFU vidoe and I was sold. ùùù ≡v≡

There is a little game called Asheron's Call that was one of the FIRST three MMO's(UO, EQ, and AC). They did a monthly update/patch. Each month they added new content and new features etc just like ccp does. So no CCP wasn't the first to do it.

The community loves EVE and truly appreciates all of your effort and dedication in keeping it head and shoulders above all the rest. The majority of the time, you are mostly going to get complaints and criticism. It's the nature of the beast. It doesn't mean the community is any less thankful or appreciative of your hard work. As players, we just tend to gripe more than we praise. Around moments such as this though - release of new content - some of us tend to voice our thanks a bit more. I believe we represent the majority of the community, rather than the minority. I have been following EVE since it came into being and have always been impressed. I was actually one of those "Earth and Beyond" people back in the day, before it was abandoned. I have always wanted to join this community, but could never seem to find the time to justify the investment. I got rehooked during AT7, watching it unfold on EVE-TV in HD. Stroke of marketing genius BTW. I paid up and made the time. I'm still a n00b at only two months game time, but I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. Keep doing what you do and the community will grow and love you for it, not to mention your market share will keep going up. We appreciate you, truly. Our thanks as well to all the GMS, forum moderators, content providers, writers and anyone and everyone else who makes EVE what it is. Without you, this universe wouldn't be nearly as rich as it has become. EVE truly is the only player-created game world. Damn. Still downloading ... 292MB of 497MB @ 147KB/sec.
