So like, i log in to EVE after Dominion patch deployed, happily go remoterepping in my Thanatos. And guess what? I get "Your Capacitor is empty" message. Well, it's not that uncommon, but in that situation i used to be capstable. So i go out and try to unveil the reason for the sudden capacitor shortage.
First, i explore the base capacitor stats on Thanatos. I do have pre-dominion EFT which has the old cap stats for Thanny. I compare base stats - they're identical. Then i look onto capacitor recharge modules and rigs - with rigs and my skills they show identical values. I put on the same capacitor modules - still, stats are identical. I put in some capacitor using modules, like tanking modules - eanms, hardeners and personal repper - stats are identical. Now i put in two CRARs (that's Capital Remote Armor Repairer Is for those not used to acronyms) and voila! Stats are different. I dig in to investigate. Pop up stats for CRARs in both EFT and EVE. In eve it says "Activation capacitor cost: 1080" (capital remrep skil @4, subcapital @5). In EFT it says 810! Bingo. I dig in further, open up base stats for both modules, they're identical - at 1350 cap/cycle. So, i figure, there must be a skill issue.
I take out my trustworthy calculator and divide 1080 by 1350. I get 0.8 as a result. Then i divide 810 by 1350, now i get 0.6. Skill called "Capital Remote Armor Repair Systems", which i trained to lvl 4 gives 5% reduction in capital RAR cap usage, so the final multiplier for lvl 5 skill is 0.8 (the resulting number of EVE stats calculation). "Remote Armor Repair Systems" skill also gives 5% capacitor usage reduction for all RAR modules. That gives 0.75 multiplier for cap. If you multiply 0.8 by 0.75 you get 0.6 (the number from EFT stats calculation). I also remember clearly that numbers in EVE and EFT were identical before Dominion. I also remember eve fitting screen saying "stable" when i was fiddling with my fittings. And now it says "Xmin YYsec". This also means i can't permarun even a single CRAR (w/o any other mods active) on my thanatos with CCC rigs and full rack of cap rechargers (save two slots for ECCM and sensor booster) which i did perfecly few days ago.
That means that regular "Remote Armor Repair Systems" skill no longer affects capital modules, while its description is yet unaltered and does not state so. I could guess other capital logistics modules (shield transporters and capacitor transfers) are affected as well. I'm not even mentioning capital remote repair modules aren't in par with their subcapital counterparts which have higher cap efficience in tech1 variants (1:1.35 for small/medium and 1:1.27 for larges - 1:1.11 for capitals) and also subcapital ones have named, t2 and faction/deadspace variants which offer even more cap efficience (1:1.78 for small/medium and 1:1.53 for large in Tech2 variations). The only thing that balanced them out was the additional capacitor usage bonus from capital rep skill (they could archieve 1:1.97 efficience with both skills @ 5 compared to 1:1.80 on small/med and 1:1.69 on large Tech1, and tech2s would be way over 1:2 ratio).
This change is not mentioned in patchnotes. Neither it was mentioned in any "upcoming changes" threads and blogs before expansion. So I (and my fellow capital pilots) would like to know whether this change is intentional or it is caused by some kind of a bug and if it isn't a reason for such a change.

Not in game yet, but on the off chance its intentional. Anybody fired up a triage unit to see if its got a stealth buff to cap usage?

Stuff like that should be checked so getting broken in the patch could have been avoided anyway. Unit testing isn't hard, just expensive. |

So let me get this right, you're asking for every single mechanic, within every single component, with every single combination in relation to every other single component, should be checked? Even if it shouldn't have been affected by the patch?
And you want to see the update this year, and not in 5 years yeah?

The issue has not been fixed after Dominion 1.0.1 patch deployed today. Could anyone say why?
