Hello,
I am a new player and trying to pick a corp to start running missions for. I was working on Astral Chem corp but got bored with them. Recently I made my way over to Khanid Prime and I like this area.....I was thinking of doing missions for the Royal Khanid Navy...would that hurt my faction standings with Gallente etc??
It seems to me its so hard to decide on a corp to stick with and it takes so long to boost your standings. I have been running missions for 3 weeks for Astral Chem and only have 1.83 standing....
I am trying to get to level 2+ missions as I need more ISK flow.....any advice?

yes esspecailly if you run all the missions. Not sure how bad it is if you skip the anti faction ones though. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00

Edited by: Emperor Cheney on 02/12/2009 06:20:50 All the good lvl 4 khanid agents are in lowsec - RKN only has one lvl 4 in highsec and he's pretty low quality. Spend enough time to get known out there and you will get ganked back to highsec. During euro time there's a few balkan corps that are mostly pirate that run the good lowsec hubs, during US prime it's assorted 0,0 corps that are bored and looking to gank people - Khanid is currently (or at least very recently was, haven't been playing for a few weeks) a bit of a battlefield between some nullsec entities. So, unless you get in good with some corp that controls one of the lowsec hubs you want to work, I wouldn't recommend it. Spent a month off and on in Khanid building standings and making a home for myself, then clearly I became known in the wrong intel channels and found myself ganked three times in a week after a month of getting away every time. It feels so empty there and free, but if you're there long enough to mine agents, you're there long enough to get some very bored pirates' attentions.

Train Social and Connections to at least 4 - you will gain standing a lot quicker then which means less grinding before getting access to higher level agents -------------------------

Ministry of War are fairly solid. 2 Level 3 agents in Joramok that allow you to grind some Amarr standing.

It's actually not a bad idea to switch the corps and factions you work for, because if you keep running missions for gallente only, you'll run your caldari and amarr standings into the ground.
I usually alternate between gallente and amarr agents, and every time I got my standings up to +8.00, enough to get jumpclones, I switch to another corporation. This gives you a lot of benefits in the long run as you have access to a lot of agents, plus faction standings with all factions which allows you to start at L3/L4 agents with any of their corps. I can basically run missions everywhere now and am not restricted to mission hubs as I can run missions for different corps, even different factions, in the same system, thus I basically have better 'hubs' than anyone else that would have stuck to running missions for one corp.
Just decline those missions that tell you to kill opposing factions, recognizable by the amarr/gallente/minmatar/caldari icons in the mission briefing. They will trash your faction standings. ---
