I do not believe Amarrians would be able to survive without their 'slaves', thus they will do all they can to hijack all 'freedom movements', it is a matter of their own survival not just the simple freeing of slaves.
As such they will continue to spew propoganda to keep their stagnating civilization alive, ignore this banter. Actions speak louder than words and I commend all Matar friendly pilots that are attending this event.

Originally by: Gaius Kador These events have in the past been used as a staging ground for raids into the Empire itself.
Expect company.
We were told by a Jovian visitor that there were Amarrian slaver ships massing to disrupt the gathering because of the Khummaks being used. I was there when this happened, and advised everyone to make their own decisions on what to do. A very small number of pilots who attended then formed a fleet to primarily break up this supposed attack fleet, which apparently never materialized or was in a different system.
The gathering was not a staging ground last time.

Edited by: Matt Ivresse on 11/11/2004 14:12:27 I am frankly quite concerned as to what the outcome of this event will be...
We have recently seen the Amarr's inabilty to resolve demonstrations and protests without loss of life, with the death of dozens of protesters on Dam-Torsad that demonstrated against the sanctions against ORE over the announcement of intent to sell moon-mining equipment to pod-pilots when the Amarr's Imperial army troops released nano-toxins into the crowd.
Will we see a similiar thing happen here? With the way some of the Amarr have been talking, I fear that the answer will be 'yes'.
The main question is, if the Amarr do interfere, then what would the Republic's response be? If any Amarr institution unjustifiably attacks a peaceful demonstration in Minmatar territory (for Pator is, unlike what the occupationalist and out-of-touch Amarr like Ardor and Archbishop would tell you, Minmatar territory and not Amarr's anymore, not that it was Amarr's anyway when they went and stole it from the Minmatar in the first place), would that not be paramount to a declaration of war against the Minmatar? And would the republic respond to that declaration? And if the Emperor condemned the brutality, would the same Amarr who was earlier fighting for 'the will of the emperor' be then condemned as a heretic and become the target of the very people he was fighting for?
I fear that there may be many results arising from this demonstration, and many of them will not be good ones. We shall have to wait and see...

With all due respect Mr Ivresse, Pator is as much a part of the Amarrian Empire as Caldari Prime is a part of the Gallente Federation. The only difference that I can see is that we did not bombard the Minmatar homeworld from orbit when the rebellion started.

I urge all who intend to participate in this event to come unarmed, this is a peaceful demonstration, I do not wish to see it end in bloodshed.

Edited by: Khaldorn Murino on 11/11/2004 14:42:00 I have spoken to many people who will be attending this peaceful demostration, and all have vowed to raise arms against no one. Even corps that they are at war with.
I can only hope that all people who attend this protest flight will follow their fine example.
This march is for the people without voices, without freedom. We must speak out for them. We must not tolerate the practice of slavery in the Republic, the very republic which fought so hard and bled so much to be free of slavery. We must urge the goverment to stand for what is true and right.
For what did they fight for, if not to be free? -

Nope, you just bombarded the Minmatar homeworld from orbit when you first came there instead, and claimed Pator as a system that fully belonged to the Amarr empire, whether the Minmatar wanted it or not. ---------------

Not true.
When the Empire first arrived at your homeworld, it was in the grip of a terminal meteorological breakdown. The least that we could do was rehouse some of your race elsewhere during reconstruction. You should be grateful that we rescued you from extinction.
