Anyone got any good suggestions for 3 decent size (but not too expensive) monitors (maybe 22in) that could be used for a 3way EVE setup?

3 x 1920x1080 they can come in from cheapest to most expensive 26" to 22". They retail at about ú100 each. you could go down to 1680x1050 if it's that expensive. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

That would work. I'm using a Samsung P2370 atm (1080p) (23in) but the bezel is a bit wide. Plus everything is so expensive here in Dubai.

Try checking out newegg.com they generally have very good prices.
I prefer Acer monitors due to cost, display, bevel width, ect. Currently running 4x 22" on a pair of old 8800 GTS cards and Eve runs smooth, if a tad laggy, with 4 clients up. I understand you can actually find 4x output cards these days, and EVGA offers a 4x SLI Motherboard.

SoftTH works fine apart from a few mouse/window glitches

Edited by: Vinson on 02/12/2009 21:49:35 Thanks for the linkage.
I've 2xGTX285s in SLI so wanting to unleash these bad boys. I generally run a lot of hauling ops in the evening when I'm working at my desk in the evening so figure it would be nice to have a wide aspect.

But, does Eve support multi-monitors or is the image just going to be stretched across all three?
ATI just released a new vcard that has triple outputs for this exact purpose and the first thing I thought of was 180 degrees of Eve! But of course, the only games they were showing off with it were new games (Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age, Dirt) and they said that even some of those games required some patching by the developers to add support.
If it doesn't stretch the picture and actually adds more degrees of view, I'd consider this (until I add up the costs of course! haha).

I have duel monitors on my system and I really was hoping that Eve would let me run 1 as the normal view we are all used to, and have the second one be an area for all the stuff like chat windows, overview etc... sorta like how photoshop lets you drag the menus around etc...

I run EVE with 3 22" monitors, two generic and one dell with displayport. All three are connected to an ATI 5770 hence the display port connection which is a requirement either that or an expensive active adapter.
I run as one display of 5040 x 1050 and will never go back its amazing as I can spread the UI accross the two side monitors and leave my center free of clutter.....and I have settings at max well worth it.

Eve itself does not come w/ support to properly display 1 client over 3 monitors (though it will Soon for windows 7), but as displayed at fanfest you can get a program (triple head somethin or other) to make it work. They showed it off in the keynote presentation at fanfest, look it up on youtube. In the first 25% of video I think (long video, almost 2 hrs).

The New Field of View for EVE means it now properly works on widescreeen and panoramic setups. Before teh fixed absolute FoV and fisheye meant it literally stretched the viewport across the screens. Now it does it correctly to the amount of screens. You cna also tweak the field of view to fit better on stacked 2x3 or 1x3 setups. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

I have been running a triple monitor setup for YEARS at 4320x900 resolution (3 1440x900 monitors running through a Triplehead2Go and 2x8800GTS 640mb SLI video cards).
It works GREAT. If you are going to use the TH2GO, your resolution is limited to 5040x1050 (3 1680x1050 monitors). If you go with the new ATI Eyefinity, you can go as large as you want but will need an Active Display port connector.
