It brings up a pic with dominion and it looks like its starting but it just ends up to not respond, forever stuck on a black screen. Now I erased EVERYTHING of eve. I reinstalled, and I'm still hitting the same problem.
I cleared the folders people said to in other topics related to mine, but nothings working.If anyone has any advice, I'm more then willing to try it.

I have a buddy who is suffering from the exact same problem this person describes. He is threatening to emo-rage-wow-fanbio-quit because "ccp fails" etc etc... Since he is unwilling to check the forums for help I figured I'd do it for him... Mostly cuz I'm bored. Run the techincal stuff by me, I'll dumb it down for him if anyone has a solution.

Same here, worked fine untill the dominion update, i tried everything from erasing my cache to reinstalling everything.
Please fix this.

Update your video drivers. That will solve the issue, most likely.

ok... I've been trying to solve this for the past 8 hours.. i just got it
This happened after the dominion patch
i had the problem of the splash screen showing up.. then nothing happens.. it just disapears.
I looked down and saw my computer clock was set at like 2030 for some god forsaken reason... i changed it back to 2009.. and it works

Well...my clock is stillat 2009. After many valiant attempts at trying to get this expansion to work, I have yet to see it run. I just wanted to put my character's skills on que, can i do that through the website if i cannot get on the game at the moment?

Same problem here. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client twice. Updated drivers and direct x. Dell, windows vista (i know, i know), Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (shader model 3 able)... I see the intro screen, then screen goes black. I can hear the music and see the mouse cursor on a black screen. Upon one reboot in brought up the log in screen long enough for me to accept the EULA and then froze up and had to be closed down... again. Anyone figures this out, let me know.. very frustrating.. and amateurish.

I can get to the login screen fine, but once I attempt to connect then it freezes and I can't even exit the screen :(

I have the same issue ... any solutions yet?
I have tried repair.exe as well as eve.exe (Safe Mode)and of course cleaning the cache ... but I can still only see the dominion pic and no EVE starting up

I've been having this same issue where it gets stuck on the Dominion splash screen. It only started after my client crashed and locked up my computer (Vista Basic... yea yea i know.)

I get a bsod on my laptop unless I do what is said in that workaround thingy.
Will I have to delete these folders and files each time I want to play eve on my laptop for the rest of my life, or will this get fixed soon?

ive tried everything I have a similar problem but I don't get a blank screen the dominion box comes up then eve shows in my dock but nothing appears on screen. I do not get music I don't get anything. ive uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times now and am currently re downloading the game. I run mac os leopard and am at the end of my very short fuse trying to figure this problem out.
