I just noticed in Dominion that the warp effect has a red shift color behind you and a blue shift color in the direction you are going. Was it always there and I just missed it or is it new?

Nah the warp effect was most recently updated in Apochrypha 1.5, but it was there before that.
Edit: I think the above post is correct in that it's been there at least since '07

It's always been there. Was one of the things that blew me away when the game first launched.

It has. I didn't notice for the first year in '07 but once I learnt the zoom in feature by holding both mouse buttons I noticed the small colour change according to the law of physics. Certainly blew my mind.

I remember looking at the red and blue shift on a friends pc before i started playing, Castor definitely had it. So that was early 04 and I bet it was there from the begining.

The red/blueshift has indeed been there since the dawn of EVE, but prior to Apocrypha 1.5, it was such a small thing that you could only spot if you zoomed in on it. Nowadays, It's a lot more emphasized.

Then you must have had a lousy screen. The Red/blueshift has been clearly visible since I started playing in 2007. I can't speak for how it looked before that, but I don't think the warp graphic had taken any massive leaps just before I joined.

I noticed the blue/red shift seems more noticable in Dominion than it was before, like they intensified the color or something...
