Greetings,
I found a great local shop that sells quite a few British Ales. Before I start testing them out, because they are quite expensive compared to our domestic brands, I thought I'd post a question.
I would like to ask any Brits here, what do you consider to be a great British Ale?
Cheers! MrBinary

The best thing to do with ale is pour it down the sink and order yourself a nice cold bottle of Tiger beer instead.

On the real ale front, you can't really go wrong with anything produced by the Ringwood, Greene King or Badger breweries, along with some others such as Old Speckled Hen, or Theakstons Old Peculier.
Where more commercial beers are concerned, Boddingtons, Newcastle Brown and Caffreys (OK, it's Irish, but it's still good) are tops.

Try Cain's FA (Formidable Ale). Marstons Oyster Stout is another favourite...
