The new feature of Audio Alerts for shield, armor, and structure thresholds keep going off during brief moments where these stats are being reset on your ship due to a session change:
- Momentarily after undocking.
- Momentarily after boarding ship in space.
- While changing fittings when undocked/in-space:
- Ship Maintenance Array
- Orca Ship Maintenance Bay
- Rorqual Ship Maintenance Bay etc.
The Audio Alerts klaxxons go off during each of these session changes. (It¦s the most annoying when refitting ship in space, as each module change causes the klaxxon to go off).
Either fix this by changing it so that a fitting change or ship boarding action does not cause these stats to reset completely from 0 (When fleet boosters change on-the-fly, we don't see this behavior, so why should we see this behavior during other session/fitting changes?) or by masking the playing of the alert sounds during these session changes.

Well I found the alerts to be a useful new feature that came with Dominion, because it lets me know when I need to turn on a repper. I'm just trying to make it better. What's with all the h8? (obviously if the sound is turned off, why do we even have this feature to begin with?)

The feaure is for people who want audio warnings and sense you find it annoying at times then why have the sound on? Personally I haven't heard these effect yet as I haven't PvPed or ran and missions but I counter your question why have the features available if they can be turned off?

What is it with you? He's pointing out that the feature is misbehaving in certain situations. He's not complaining about the general concept of this feature or about EVE sound.
OP, to me those issues sound like defects. You should probably file a bug report to get this fixed. I can imagine that in-space fitting wasn't really something CCP testes that feature with.

He isn't complaing and your suggesting he file a bug report? WTF? That is complaining. The point I was making is it doesn't belong in THIS forum but rather in another as this one is for NEW idea not correcting the ones already existing.

Thanks for reading/listening :)
I posted it here, because I did file this as a bug yesterday, and was then told today by BH Macijinan that it belongs as an enhancement of an existing featureand to submit the enhancement request in here.

No, you weren't making any point. You are making one now and I'd tend to agree with you that it doesn't belong here. However, between your post and mine the OP has already pointed out that the bughunters have apparently failed to recognize this issue as the bug that is most definitely is.
So I guess we're now clear on the fact that he *SHOULD* reopen his bug-report and point it out to those bughunters that he was in fact reporting a bug and not making a suggestion.
I think most bughunters don't really have a strong technical background, so it's often a pretty annoying back-and-forth with them until they finally agree that something is a bug :)
