We ran into these guys the other night in the providence region all they do is down a battleship or two then evade. They never come and fight when it is close to or even numbers. All they do is attempt to isolate our forces and then pick off lone targets. Take your noobish tactics somewhere else guys. It is clear that GateKeepers are infact noobs when it comes to pvp. I can't believe these guys were even let into ca. They are totally disorganized show no signs of good leadership and are just flat out pathetic not to mention cowards and to top that off a disgrace to ca. Like I said GateKeepers come back when you are ready for a fight. This post wasn't meant to be a flame thread just stating the facts.

i dont usually concern myself with alliance flames, but it sounds like good tactics to me, your the one with dead ships, they're not. You only fight the battles you know you can win, sound war tactic.

well it is a good tatic but a lame one.
If they refuse to engage with even numbers it shows how scared they are to fight on even terms.

Not sure if it rings true about tactics of old? I remeber my great great grandfather telling me how wars were faught between the big stand up armies who came out in force showing face and honour in battle. Then there were the insurgents who hid and took pot shots as they were too weak to fight in the open and only used hit and run tactics.
I also remember how it was frowned upon by the rest of the world these tactic but now they are used without worry of honour and face!

Or if they bring equal numbers as many do, but 1/2 their numbers are jamming scorps (low skills required) that utterly cripple their opponents, its all lame to someone, but these things happen, probably why many divide and conquer, in the end itd all about how many die from what side.

That was probably WW1 then? Big stand up armies out in force, showing face and honour - maybe. Or you could say inept tactics and millions dead.
To the original poster - this sounds like legitimate guerilla tactics to me. The idea is to kill your enemies and not get killed yourself after all. Maybe they have scouted your forces and suspect that you will beat them in a toe to toe fight having seen what ships you have compared to them and made an assessment of your possible skills. The idea then is to weaken your force as best you can in the hope of engaging with more favourable odds.
There is no such thing as honour in warfare, there is only killing. Honour is invented by the people on the winning side, and by propaganda merchants.

Summary there some of the most effieciant killers in game.

Powned means get mad because you lost. hmm Tactics are the name of the game. NOT Even fighting. Even fighting then goes to equipment and fighting skill points. Tactics makes you a smarter fighter.

Ok for a start, as usual when someone says close to even numbers it roughly translates as "we vastly outnumbered our opponent" just even sounds cooler.
Guerilla Tactics are a perfectly sound and EXTREMELY effective tactic when faced with heavy odds. (the fact that your hear *****ing about it I would say is testement of their success of using it..)

I would say they are a credit to the CA a small tight knit group of skilled assasins, performing their job admirably by the sound of your post.
Now Reconsider who is the noobs Aomen and think about what they are doing and what you can do about it....
No offense but I've never heard of you or even know what corp your in, so calling other people noobs at pvp when your unknown in the playground is just gonna invite people to tear a strip off ya.
Anyway, chill out and rethink what you just said and your tactics ingame....

It's been some time since I last played.
But, in this case I must say, I've fought against gatekeepers quite a bit, and IMO they are honourable and nice guys, and they were up for some friendly chats. Very fun to fight against.
Btw, so your "traps" are working better now Mizz?

Any group which can operate in deep 0.0 inside an enemy 'claimed' area and still score kills with minimal losses is pretty cool by me.
Dont matter what tactics they use.
Its the corps which only hug Empire choke points and are incapable of actually moving around enemy space which are the cowards imo ...unless they are pirates of course.
Seems Gatekeepers are doing fairly well
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

If I remember right, I heard about The Mizz alone in x1e, so I decided to pvp fit my dominix and "deal with him", but I luckily had the brains to bring a mate of my own, so here's the story:
I jumped in to x1e from lgk, and warped to the gate in the direction of 9rq(don't remember which gate exactly), and started fighting The Mizz, then, Herbs jumped in in his raven, about the time he uncloacked my mate came out of warp and all hell broke loose. The Mizz got out, and so did I(with 4% armor :)
Then my mate yelled in ts that he was fighting, I warped to him and we killed them both.
It was probably the best fun I've ever had in eve, but I was damn shocked when herbs jumped in
