Really, why isnt there an option to choose between the new and old FOV?
I can't play eve! Im getting dizzy with the new FOV! Im sure its as simple as changing a variable in a .cfg or .ini somewhere?
Dominion practically ruined the game for me. Please fix it!
(An no, ctrl+shift+lmb+rmb does not solve the problem since it only changes the fov to be as wide as the new dominion FOV and narrower)

No no, u got it wrong, everyone else is strange :P
No but jokes aside, its different for everyone. Thing is that i have played this game with a certain type of camera FoV for almost 4 years now and when a new patch changes it, its like having a new set of glasses, glasses not fit for your eyes.
I dont care if the pre-dominion things actually were wrong or right scaled, it felt right anyways and i could play the game which i cant now.
Any devs out there who can give us a hint on wether we are going to get adjustable FoV or not? It shouldnt be that hard?

Someone thinks it's perfect so what? What counts is the people it is bothering, I say why not give people a choice? No reason thank you.
BTW it also is a pain not to be able to look straight up and down from above your ship, especialy while probing.

I think the new field of view is amazing. Everything actually looks bigger now, I can see ships over 40km away! It's great.
I do however agree there should be an option to switch back to the older fov, if you prefer that.

It looks flat and boring now and lacks sense of scale. Not that it matters much, it just is sad to see money spent on making game worse.

well the fov suck for me coz it break my game basically iuse a native resolution of 4320 by 900 and in a few months am gonna have monitor letting me use the 5040 bu 1050 the new fov ruin this resolution making it look too big and unscaled i wish that ccp give us the old fov or the old ghx system for some of us
that has problem with it or use a th2go system but that my opinion

I think it looks awesome now. You actually get a sense of how massive some of the things are.
If they change this again, I hope they make it an option and not a forced change into the old FOV. I'd like to keep the current look.

Massive or not, it still makes some people upset and dizzy. There should always be an option between the new and old.

Edited by: Sara Zaristos on 06/12/2009 12:32:44 You can change the FOV, hold CTRL+left+right mouse button simultaneously and move your mouse.

Yes, but if u read the first post its already said that the FOV that can be changed is dominion fov at the widest (apocrypha FOV was even wider and had a fisheye effect) the FOV slider now is only good for making it narrower (worse than it already is).

there was no fisheye effect. it was simply wide camera angle. and would love to have that wider camera back. variable fov is nice, just give it greater range.

Exactly! Even games as old as quake 3 has got variable FOV, so i dont think there will be a problem for CCP to make it happen.
