I have noticed, on rare occasion, that some older players have been in (or still are in) NPC corporations other than the default corporations you get dumped into when you drop a player corp. Was this once a possibility based on standings? Is it still possible?
Why do I ask? Because I also noticed that those corps do not have the 11% tax. That's right. There are players in NPC corps that have no tax, like Ishukone for example. CCP only applied the tax to the default NPC corporations. I really think that CCP should close the loophole if fairness is an issue. Raise taxes on all NPC corps so that those oddballs do not get a free ride.
Being a hater is kinda fun.

If older players didn't ever join a player corp, they will still be in the starter NPC corp after years. Some my have dropped out of a player corp into their respective bloodline NPC corp.
If some players should not get taxed (how do you know, btw?), it clearly is a bug. Go file a bugreport. Anyone in an NPC corp should be taxed by the new 11% NPC corp tax.

You start in your eve live in a starter corp. You may leave that starter corp for a player corp. When leaving a player corp you will be dropped into a NPC corp determined by your bloodline / school. You will not be able to ever join your starter corp again. You will allways jump between bloodline/school corp and player corps.

Excuse me while I re-direct this topic. Based on your race and bloodline, all players in Eve have a default corporation they are dropped into. Example: Achura-Perkone, Deteis- Deep Core Mining, Civire-Caldari Provisions etc., etc.
Each blood line gets a default "dumping" corp. in each race. All those "dumping" corps, as well as the starter schools, now have 11% tax.
However, some people are in NPC corps other than "dumping" corps. Those corps do not have any tax at all.
Example: Character Hido. Member of Ishukone since 2004. Tax rate? 0.0 He is just one of the skaters I have noticed.
Fair? You decide. I think that if CCP is going to put a tax on NPC corps it should do so for all NPC corps and not allow this grandfathering.

That clearly should be dealt with. Starter corp or not, tax should apply. Would make people actually stay in the starter corp, which is the opposite why the tax was introduced in the first place. Maybe a bug?

I am hoping it is an oversight. (one of many for CCP) Regardless, it smacks of favoritism.

If someone is that loyal to eve, and has played that long. I think they deserve it. there is a very small number of them. Although if you prefer we could just reset eve so that the older players dont have more sp. That way ccp isnt showing favoritism to older players.

My Alt isn't in her starter corp anymore, she joined Egonics for the agent advantage. She's still getting nailed with the 11% tax.
Also, as far as I'm aware you can join any NPC corp you like, as long as you don't have negative standings with them. Although starter corps may be an exception, I don't know.

BS. You can not choose which NPC corp you join. Not your starter corp, not the fallback corp. It's determined by race/bloodline/school.

Back in the old days (2005 or so) you where able to apply to and join an NPC Corp when you had enough standings with them. I think Tank CEO joined a pirate faction corp (Guristas afaik) once.

Of course loyalty is important. In fact, why not throw in some free T2 BPOs and faction ships for loyal friends of CCP who have been around a while...Oh, wait..

I think they'd be pilots involved in the old events,, uh,, what was that program called again,, I forget. But basically players would be thrown into NPC corps to represent "intelligent" agents of that corp for storyline purposes.
Was kinda surprised when I saw someone blue to me and they were part of Caldari Navy,,,

So they are characters used in the old events and that can't be used in a normal "fashion"?
Essentially they exist in the database but can't be used in game unless CCP organized some new event.

I was in Thukker Mix for a longer period of time, it was pretty much as being in a solo corp. Except, a solo corp had better benefits and less restrictions so I ended up moving on.
And heck, now my solo corp isn't even solo anymore.

I had a char in Sarum Family for a while, basically any corp that had you at +2.0 would let you join. This is pretty much an oversight on CCP's part and should be fixed. Chances of it getting fixed however..

Unleashing paranoia on this would give them too much credit. The majority of these stupid mistakes are oversight anyways. Eve is really big ya know?

How lame you are, OP. How pityful, maybe for jusst one sec, imagin that there are events, and other things that go on in the universe instead of everything revolving around you.
Hido was most likely used by CCP in some form in the past 6 years of existance.
