Hello everyone. I've had a few problems with the Kestral. I assume that it's the rocket brawler of the line up, but I can't seem to get a decent tank on it. Does anyone know any good pvp fits? Thanks. |

flew a kessy for a bit, could never get dps and a tank on it, ended up just putting light missiles on it and a AB and engaging at 20+km while something tankyer scrammed them.
tho its been a long time so it might be a different story now.... |

The kestrel is NOT a rocket brawler. The caldari rocket brawler is the Hawk (assault frigate)
The kestrel lacks enough mids for viable solo utilities and tank, so you have two options:
- Armor tanked (lol)
- Light missiles and another one to tackle.
Because of that, the kestrel is a nice DPS support in frigate gangs, but not a decent solo frig. |

Kestrel can be fun in a speed tanking fit. with Light Missiles
4X LML II
Limited 1MN MWD
WD II
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
MAPC I
NANO II
3X CCC I
Takes perfect fitting skills, but it runs everthing but the web capstable, which you shouldn't run anyway unless someone gets within 13Km of you. You can run the web for 2 min 50 secs. 2687m /s DPS is not great, 64.4, decent alpha 532 |

This is ok, but I think a Crow will do better in this role. Although it is more expensive.

Oh well, the hookbill is also a nice brawler. I just prefer the hawk because of the tank, even if it is more expensive. |

this will win agains many frigs, specially if they mwd,. killed a bunch of slicers with this fit. |

^^^^^this^^^^^^^ with T2 launchers i get 150+ dps and a decent speed to orbit close and pummel.

I'ts a FW habbit, Hookbill is able to enters all plexes, there for more usefull in FW, got me so much flight hours in it, I came to like it very much :)
