What ccp needs to do is:
purchase ten or so computers all utilizing a broad range of op systems and hardware. They could even poll us and determine, based on our replies, if ten systems will be enough and what a statistical spread of system types they would need.
Then! Utilize these systems OFF SITE with quality control for pre expansion release bug tests.
Might help

Haha! Good one. I agree that singularity works well for bugs but I was sorta thinking of a final last minute download check. I.e. Literally the last step before release. Larsonist > i still enjoyed the pew pew though, all the pos sh!t ive been doing lately had me feeling like smeagle without his precious. |

Seriously CCP dont give a **** about individual customers / players. Its mass marketing and thats it period. TBH they dont care if a new patch / product that will make them $$ has an impact on u as a consumer. Sink or swim darwins theory bro chances are if u cant sort it out yourself then u are going to end up as meat in the gears of their great money maker.
Yes like you i too find CCP have failed to provide a functioning product free of bugs and bull ****.

Edit: if singularity did infact work like this we probably would not have had some of the severe critical issues that have sprung up...nor would the boot.ini issue probably have occurred.
Actually that is how it does work, or I should. They should not add more fixes/changes to a release candidate on SISI a week before. Then they have a good idea how well it works on the possible 100 different systems that players playing on SISI are using. Problem is, the users aren't good at bug reporting.
That said, taking 10 dedicated volenteers (spelling?) with very different systems and setup, is not a bad idea. But might be redundant.

I think it would be great if they played the game once and a while. They would get to see a lot of the problems described in this forum. Sad to say, I have to agree with one of the posters, CCP is more interested in your cash than your game experience.
No other gaming company on this planet has ever had such a horrible track record as CCP when it comes to customer experience. Also, CCP apparently has virtually no Quality Control, all on top of some basement level programmers.
I work on 12 to 15 million USD simulators. The code runs in a database like Eve does. When I make a change to the sim software, I have hours/days/weeks of testing to ensure that what I changed in one module hasn't effected the realtime. Sometimes problems do slip through the cracks, but I don't take weeks/months/years to fix it. If I did, I guess I'd be qualified to work for CCP!!!
