Is there a general rule you can follow to know what items you loot should be reprocessed and what you should sell? I have the skills required to get 100% efficiency(or whatever % is max) when reprocessing, but after spending a whole day looting I have a lot of junk to either reprocess or sell. I was hoping there was an easier way to tell what should just be reprocessed to make more profit or just sell it. If I have to check the market for each thing I will but it takes forever that way.

Well, every single piece of junk you can think of will sell, eventually, if the price is reasonable.
With that in mind you have to decide what is a reasonable price, and how much time you want to spend hocking your wares.
I make a quick decision based on the meta and type of module; this greatly reduces how much I take to market. When I go to sell the item, if it has a market value under 25,000 ISK I don't bother to list it and reprocess it instead.

Sell meta 4 (ull learn them by names soon enough), reprocess the rest. Or reprocess everything and dont bother, u wont loose that much if ure at 100%. P.S. Use sell orders for minerals or die from starvation. Everything but trit usually sold withing a day for region average. ---- Drones eat everything. Trust me. |

Large guns and Large loot (Heavy Neut, for example) sell halfway decently. 100MN MWDs. Just check prices on your items as they come in. You'll get a feel for which ones are profitable to sell and which ones are better to reprocess.

I struggle with this one as well.
I've had to do item by item... melt x mineral price vs. current market details.
Basically, if I get lots of the item from missions, and they are unnamed... melt. I have found a few exceptions to this, but not many.
Named, I toss into a container and haul off to a trade hub in bulk. I know the "top named" (meta 4) is a sell.. but the rest I just let pile up. Months of letting many giant containers full of loot pile up.... I "stack all" and if I have 10+ of an item, then I'll check the melt vs. sell. Better to check once for 10-30 items then to try to have a massive list that I check 20-30 times for 1 item each time.
Usually, for the lesser meta named items the answer is "melt", but there are exceptions that pay much better to sell then melt. Enough to justify the time? Meh, probably not...
Sometimes when running the numbers I'll find an easter egg. Last night I found one that melts for 9x the highest regional buy order and 3x it's regional average. For those I issue a buy order. If the full order goes through before someone out bids me I should make a few million ISK. In the first 12 hours, I'd gotten 20% of the order filled.

It's really a crapshoot. I just remember what sells well and reprocess the rest. The Meta 4 rule is pretty common I think.
I usually just sell it if the price is above the average. If the item has a high sell price but way below the average price (red percentage) then I check the market. I usually only sell stuff though after about 10 missions or so. That way it's not so tedious.
