(I would envisage Skill Pill barons would eventually be tearing themselves to pieces in LowSec over the control of the boosters and the markets for them)

What are the side effects? No side effects?

If no side effects, then why are they illegal?

Maybe a random skill downgrade if too many are consumed. May serve as a deterant for some or a worthwhile risk for others.

It's no different to paying cash/isk for advanced learning skills which boost your learning rate, only, in a 'game sense', it would be deemed an 'illegal' means of achieving the same result (for a limited amount of time). The process of augmenting attributes is something that is already purchasable within the game. Another little 'twist' on that practice may prove interesting if thrown into the mix.

How so? What's interesting about yet another way to get skills faster?
Why not introduce a mini-warpdrive alongside the micro-warpdrive? Another little 'twist' that may prove interesting if thrown into the mix. Except that, like your idea, it is not at all interesting.

I could go with attribute boosters. Would need to balance cost vs effect though. Perhaps +1 attribute, +3 attribute and +5 attribute. They would have a base life of 24 hours and have a cost to be determined. Obviously they shouldn't be too cheap but they shouldn't be so horribly expensive that no one but isk buyers use them. I'd give them no draw backs and make them legal with a "prescription" from an NPC vendor (hurrah for isk sinks ). -----------------------------------------------------

interesting idea but i see your all ready under the flame thrower
any ways a 100% (DOUBLE) learning speed from a drug would need serious drawbacks as your screwing with your brain. like normal "drugs" it would need different levels like a basic "learning aid" gives a total 120% training speed . lasts 3 days but has a 7 day danger period , applying another basic gives a chance to lose attribute points for 2-3 weeks, albeit a small chance with only the basic boaster. the most potent boaster that gives a 200% training speed could last 3 days with a 7 day danger periode but has a 80% chance of doing 5-7 points worth of damage to your atrabutes for 2-3 weeks should you try again during the danger period.
