Hello there,
first of all sorry about posting this on eve forums; take it as a testimonial for the great community herein.
I'm looking for a rare kind of a wow guild to get my online orcs fix while my eve accounts are in a training period. I've always nursed the thought of playing in a guild which would organize several raids on contested territories, always aim for un-consentual pvp, draw realm wide hatred and bring the WAR into warcraft. Too bad I haven't found a single like-minded player in that spoon fed community of guilded tourers.
I'm not a griefer type, rather of the kind that just cannot settle with norms and the general consensus. I would really appreciate if you can point me towards an aggressive, casual world pvp wow guild. I have been playing the game since day one, growing tired and quitting for a comeback every other year. For me the most fun memory is exploration and exploiting various jumps etc, I have done well in all aspects of that game.

1. You wont find what you are looking for atm. The community in WoW is full of mouthbreathing ******s.
2. WoW is on a slope, imho. It doesnt better, but worse and worse. What, raids? You can bring 24 idiots, and still do normal modes. And dont try hardmodes, its still the same fight, just different mechanics. What, pvp? Any ****** that can afk in BGs or lose 10 games in arena gets the same gear as you do. You wont find people who want JUST TO PLAY THE ****ING game. Its all about "zomg haw i can getz purplz fast lol"
3. If you still want to play WoW, go on. Look at the guild/realm offcial forums. Maybe you can find something that satisfies your needs.
PS: Yeah, i AM biased strongly towards EVE. Yes, i played WoW since launch till 3.0

This. SP are almost useless without player skill. OP, go join Red v Blue for a month.

Actually no. Its the implied misunderstanding of game mechanics in the EVE world, which is causing the OP to assume you can't do anything while your character trains. With out R/L skill, skillpoints don't matter. "Honor Tank" anyone?
EDIT: Secondly, the isk made while training occurs will help with that OMGWTFPWN mobile. Though that statement is sarcastic.

There hasn't been any war in Warcraft for a very long time. Ever since the WoW classic days of the Southshore/Tarren Mill warzone.
Nowadays it's just organized and consensual PvP. Zero consequences within specified instanced areas.
Classes are set up in rock/paper/giant oversized scissor fashion with some grossly over and under powered classes and specs (IMO Blizzard is doing the class imbalances on purpose to keep players playing and rolling new toons)
There are no surprises or secrets left. Everything has been explored. Everything is heavily scripted. Every scrap of data mined and examined to maximum efficiency. Players cannot impact or influence the game in any game changing way.
In short, WoW is stagnant. You'll be back before the end of your first months subscription.
