Following a long and hard fought campaign over the last few months, the final reminents of Caldari Occupation were removed from the Covryn System at 20:32 Tonight.
We take the first step on a very long road as a result. ---------------

The first of many.
There were some that doubted. Those that feared that our losses would be permanent. But they shall doubt no more.
A victory for the cause of freedom. For the Federation.

My my, it seems there's some fight left in the Federation after all. Let's see whether this is the beginning of a renewed war effort, or if it's simply a brief anomaly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jakiin Holder Heir of the Kingdom 'Pacifist Reclaimer' |

Very good news, and congratulations to a job well done.
It seems the Caldari have overstretched themselves with their offensive in the Republic.

I strongly encourage the Caldari to abandon this campaign with the Amarr against the Matari forces and focus on what really matters to them.

Well done, it must be fastes system capture ever. It took under 24h.
Dotlan can tell us that Covryn turned contested on 2009-12-08 05:15:17 so total capture time was under 24h and we have to remember that there was extended downtime on that time.

How long do you honestly believe you will hold this system till it is lost again? Reality will dictate this this phantom victory will be obsolete soon enough, savour this fantasy while you still can.

Bravo to all and sundry!
Now let's get off our asses, move a metric butt load of ships to that system, keep it, and expand beyond....

This is one of the reasons I oppose the Caldari devoting themselves to the Amarr/Minmatar front.
They have left us open to attack.

What is the status of CBD's development and exploration rights in the system? Are they void?

It is only one system. Amarr has lost a few as well over the course of the war, but we have always taken them back.
If you understand the mechanics of the faction war as I do, it is quite easy to get it back with a few days of effort...

Yes I need to know this! I bought a lot of CBD corp shares ( and others) based on their auction bids on Gallente systems. http://www.eveonline.com/news/newsFromEve.asp?newsID=3318
The megacorps have moved a lot of assets and personal into these sytems. A friend of mine in the CBD family was sent to Covryn recently. He said the system was quiet and under control! What happened? I tried to contact him and all communications were shut off! I hope he is all right....
More importantly whats going to happen to my investment! Everything I read and heard said the War was over?

Just a reminder: all megacorp development auction purchases are permanent. If the State re-occupies Covryn, then CBD regain their investment.
Which, you mark my words, will most likely happen very soon indeed. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

And so it begins...
I am reminded of the story of the Lame Beggar of Shan, who defeated the finest athletes in the land to win the Suresha's race. In particular, I recall his words to the Mighty Pasha:
"They lost because they took their last steps in agony. I won because I took my first step in agony."

It is early in the developmental period, there are no significant pieces of infrastructure that this occupation will disrupt.
We will simply work on strengthening the other areas of our developmental project. The Corvyn part of the project will be reactivated when it once again becomes viable.
Only a minor set back.
