Hey
Does anyone know how I can connect to Eve so I can play from Uni? I used to have it working using a program called HTTP Tunnel. The admins blocked that program up (it used to connect to and IP I think?) so I now use HTTport and SocksCap. I can get the client to connect the server as it states the number of people currently playing etc however when I try to connect it says "The Transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful" in one box, then under that box "The connection to the server was lost".
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

HTTport doesnt work for me either so try using Socks2HTTP (www.totalrc.net). Thats what i use for eve, hope it works 4 u you could try using ProxyCap instead of SocksCap to see if thats the problem.

Agent M2, did you get anywhere with this?
I have gotten around the firewall i just need to direct EVE to the right ports, and forward the right ports, etc.
Any help I would be very grateful!

This is what ive tried and works for me... Hope it helps.. This is using SocksCap and Freedom.
First of all read this
http://www.your-freedom.net/index.pl/en/documentation/install.html
That should get you registered with Freedom and get there client software installed.
If you then go to the ports tab within Freedom, Add the following local port forwarding.
Local Port = 26000 Remote Address = 157.157.139.10 Remote Port = 80
Then go to this link to download SocksCAP.
http://www.socks.permeo.com/Download/SocksCapDownload/index.asp
You will have to fill in some info to download the application, but not too much. Install the software and then say yes to configure and enter the following information.
SOCKS Server = Localhost Port= 1080 Protocol should be set to SOCKS Version 5.
ThatĘs it for the configuration options. Then create a new application profile within sockscap. Name it EVE, use browse and find the eve.exe program and double click that. Click ok and it should put an EVE entry in the list.
ThatĘs itą. All you have to do is make sure that Freedom is connected to the server. ( look on the status tab and press ōstart connectionö button) Click on the EVE entry in sockscap and hit runą.
Hey Presto.. Eve should work..
