Just looking for a good lowsec region to probe out and shot some guristas; preferably (more or less) calm, no-fw region.
Any ideas?
P.S. I've been working in aridia, looking for something similar, but with guristas instead of bloods.

You should drive really fast to Ihakana, it is a good place to do what has to be done by you and help your brothers to defeat the enemys and shot zombie goasts with your wepon while shouting at the top of lung and pointing to the top of the sky.
Beware of headcrab zombie when passing the hidden cop car on the way.

I'm pretty sure you do know that Ihakana is a system in the forge region with hardly a dozen of other lowsec systems around.
I'm looking for a lowsec region, or a least a sector with 20+ lowsec systems.

Said region does not exist. Guristas lowsec is THE busiest lowsec in game. Lonetrek is just killfields, Back Rise is FW. Eastern guri regions (near SOE hisec agents... forgot the area - egghelende? bosgober?) is also full of pirates. Obe/nalvula area? Forget it.

I would assume that Black Rise would be the closest thing to aridia, then? Or does that FW-part influence exploration enough to make it noticeably worse in FW-region?

Id say it is safest of them all. Never been in black rise myself (its not highway region so didnt rly care) but seeing how amarr FW was safe for explorer (not many people probing) then rise should be decent.

My advice would be to use the maps on http://evemaps.dotlan.net/
Look up the specific pirate regions on this document http://www.ombeve.co.uk/Eve_Regions.pdf
And then check out how populated they are on dotlan. Then ask the relevant questions to people with some experience in the area.

Black rise low sek used to be home of few pirate corps, been there just a few days ago...its almost empty.
Been scaning there a year ago and nothing fancy really, not too many agents, but best is you just take some covops and see for yourself. You can check placid as well, though serpentis overthere.
