Edited by: EB Xile on 13/11/2004 02:15:17 Just picked up one of these bad boys yesterday, and fitting it sure is a task. The role I want to take is simple, WTFpwn cruisers and frigates. I'm working on a setup, and right now I have:
4x named 150 rails (working on getting t2's) 1x "Arbelest" rocket launcher w/ defenders
1x small shield booster II 1x tracking comp II 1x "Annointed" EM Ward 1x acid micro cap battery
1x rcu (to fit all the 150's and cap battery) 1x cap relay
Haven't really got much testing in except for a buddy's Hawk setup, which I beat w/ no real problem. I like the idea that I can load Iron for longer range damage if I need. Anyway I'm looking for a way to make it better, and constructive comments would be cool. |

The setup I use, partly because I'm insane, partly because I'm impatient is as follow:
4 x t2 125mm rail (with uranium ammo) 1 x 'Arbalest' Standard Launcher (with defenders) 1 x 10mn Afterburner 1 x t2 Small Shield Booster 2 x 'Eutectic' Cap Charger 2 x Micro Aux Powercore
With this setup I can go almost 800m/s, defenders take care of tailing missiles. The dot on the guns is pretty obscene, and I can run the whole setup pretty much forever. It eats every single lvl3 mission easily, although I haven't tested it's performance in pvp yet. "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" |

Any non-inssane setups? I'd like to have some kind of cap to sustain my shield booster and guns and stuff. I've looked and the fitting reqs for ABs and I don't think it would be worth it anyway. Thx anyway though, reminded me to get a "limos" launcher. _______________________________________________ Don't look at me like that, you knew I was posion when you picked me up! |

keep the named rails for now seeing as if their protos they use less cap and do the same damage as tech 2 rails. Tech2's use 11.78 per shot protos use 7.8 at least until tech 2 ammos come out and you get all tech 2 related rail skills too pretty hi lvl's

Edited by: EB Xile on 13/11/2004 13:41:12 Yeah, I'm already working on a energy management 4 for a micro aux powercore. I'm going to run a mix of named and t2 guns and switch to a small Cap Battery II, which gives 81 or so instead of the 31 the micro sized one gives me. Just a question though, am I goning in the right direction with trying to make my cap situation better, because I think I could swap the battery out for all t2 guns and a damage mod. Fitting these damn things is tough. _______________________________________________ Don't look at me like that, you knew I was posion when you picked me up! |

just remember this simple rule if you recharge more cap than you use a second you'll have enough left over too run away if things go bad.

Well, never mind, my harpy just got blown to hell andI don't think I'm going to get another. Training for a Crow though, which I hear is much more fun to fly. _______________________________________________ Don't look at me like that, you knew I was posion when you picked me up! |

Harpy is a slow ship to fly. You have to be well prepared and its excellent at ganking ceptors, haulers etc. Lots of bookmarks around the area you hunt in. Other than that, You are flying a slow tin can that packs quite a punch when it comes to frigs, so be carefull. I attacked a harpy in my 1100armor crusader, after 15 sec i had to run away with 30% armor intact ----------------------
