Been playing since beta.
Enjoyed the first few years and still like to think back to that.
Been in ISD Aurora till it got closed. I always remember the events where we flew around in faction cruisers and could shoot anything that moved.
Tried ISD BH but <self_censored_rant>. Although spawing stuff was nice, DD Jita 4-4 in Erebus or doing missions in an Eidolon.
Stopped having fun playing due to constant changes for the worse, scandals, log files showing nothing.
The road to Dominion made me decide to quit because I knew it won't get any better.
If you stop having fun there is only one thing you can do.
I've deleted my characters. 150M SP in total, 20B of assets (half of it I gave away).
Thanks to all the players (even the ones that pew pew me) and see you in another universe soon.

i can't decide whether this is an emo rage quit (not even beta players immune) or whether burning the CD case and book is the only way possible in giving up the world of eve?

Sounds like he spoiled the game by using his isd powers to instantly do stuff normal players have to work towards and in the process build an emotional attachment so they enjoy it even moar. Sorry temptation got the better of you mate and hope you do well in whatever future endevours you undertake.

because honestly, what the hell does the book have anythign to do with the game? my main is mothermoon, I haven't played in almost a year. I might not even play for another year.. or two!
but I would never burn a good sci-fi novel, wtf.

You know, you could have sent those to me COD if you really didnt want them ... If you have any other EVE related stuff you dont want Ill gladly buy it off you. I have been here since 2005, I sometimes play and sometimes I dont, I have amassed small fortunes wich I have lost later to stupidity or my crap pvp skills, scams and the usual life of being a player in EVE. I will never burn out of this game due to the fact there's still so much to to do for me here and I have barely ever done 5% of everything you can do here. When I feel burned out I just leave months long skills and then come back to switch, read the forums, whine or troll a bit and then back to rl. Sometimes I stay for a couple more months, I help the random noobs, waste my time playing the market and check my 1000 ME bpos wich usually take 2 or 3 months in queue .
If I were you I would wait down and see when Dust 514 hits eve and the consoles, perhaps we will get dust 514 for PC too.
Theres so much ahead in the horizon for EVE ... dont destroy that part of your life man. But if you are dead set, well , have a nice flight bro. Sad to see a vet go that way, but CCP, with all of its faults, and they have many many of those, are not SOE, and for me, thats something.
The Vision in CCP is at least still alive. The moment they go public they will lose what little piece of soul they still have, so I hope CCP remains a private company for years to come.

I like such threads as this. With every vet leaving the game im advancing one step up in the hierarchy among the most powerful in New Eden!
But honestly, telling CCP to burn. Isnt that taking it too far? That you dont enjoy the game anymore - fair and square - but blaming it on CCP this way... sounds stupid to me. Particularly in the view that EVE have never been better!

150 mill sp?
if you are really quitting the game you could of done so much more with a 150 mill sp character
