I think t would be cool if you could upgrade your pod like you can your clone (i.e. more hitpoints, maybe a low slot). What do you guys think. Should pods be standard or have the capability to be upgraded?

No, I don't agree with this at all. The pod is an escape pod, nothing more. Why should it be anything more? You should be wanting to spend as little time in one as possible.

Regardless if you upgrade it or not, it still would go squish just like your current one. Why spend more on it?

it WOULD be a good idea to add a very expensive pod upgrade that would warp to the closes station automaticly after your ship has been destroyed. Ask me nicely and I won't pod you... |

I think that the pod should not be the same for a frigate, cruiser or even a battleship. The pod should be equal to the ship you are captaining. An upgraded pod would also be a major advantage if you have just lost your ship and you need more HP that enable you get away instead of being podded.

It's an interesting idea, but chances are if they put you in a pod to begin with, they will have you warp locked and or webbed.
Now if it came equipped with an ECM burst or something of that nature, it would be kind of cool.
You might want to force the player to have some sort of penalty to use it. For instance the upgraded pod uses a low slot or something like that.

if it does, there needs to be a way to equip it. Ask me nicely and I won't pod you... |

Yes, I agree. There has to be 1 mid or low slot or be native to the type of pod (i.e. standard equipt. and cannot be removed). Or the pod is impervious to types of jamming.
